Objectively, the most interesting version of his story wouldn't include a forever, the way romance as a genre almost always needs to end, but instead it needs to end with him getting a future full of possibilities. It would do much better as a coming of age story vs a romance story, unfortunately.

See, my thing with a Luca book is that it's restricted by the genre. He is very young. Too young compared to all the other characters. He's in a different place than say, Shane and Ilya at the start of their careers because he's never played in a league without out players.

Update: a friend has mentioned something and I realized that not once in the whole fic did they mention balls. Every single description of genitals went dick -> perineum -> asshole. Testicals weren't mentioned by ANY terms. These boys are shaft only. And yes, they used the word perineum SPECIFICALLY
