A place to rediscover the magic

Being Ground: a non-profit forest sanctuary in southern Vermont

We nurture the connections between humans and the forest through contemplative practice, ceremony, and land-based rituals, and help people prepare for life's big transitions, including death. We offer seasonal celebrations that center women and indigenous wisdom, and welcome meditators, artists, and farm/garden volunteers.

Our beautiful garden gateway is finally complete! Farmer John was inspired by Japanese Torri gates. All the fence posts are also from our forest.

Remembering a beautiful soul who took her place among the stars recently. She brought so much beauty and joy into the world. I hope she comes to visit us at the Being Ground 💫

Visited the Mothership in Connecticut, they let me (arguably not human) in. Thankfully the Mothership at the Being Ground is more accommodating to mythical creatures.

This is a humans only establishment so... no dogs, cats, fish, aliens, elves, unicorns, gruffaloes, mermaids or griffins unless they are certified for service.
