Modesto is BACK and looking decidedly more human than last time. "Looking" being the key word there. It's going to be a WHILE before I can write his book, but I've been playing around and brainstorming with @beeohoney.bsky.social anyway in between BYMMS and commission work. Love this guy. 💜

A half-body drawing of a man. He is looking at the viewer with half-closes eyes as he bites his lip, ans one arm is stretched over his head, holding his other hand. He's dressed in black slacks and a red button-up with the first two buttons undone, showing off the scar down his sternum, as well as a peek of his top surgery scars. Art by me.

I've been a bit busy working on an AMV something, however for the time being a break from the usual sentient AI (Digimon) to for a different sentient AI (Caine) who is totally fine and okay :) #TADC #Caine #CaineTADC #Bubble #BubbleTADC #fanart

March's "nice" piece of art is done! I wanted to do something that represents how Bell feels about their role in their family and clan. I've been thinking about this one for a bit, so I'm glad I finally got to do it.

An illustration of Bell from Between You, Me, ans the Moonlit Sea. They are trapped in the outline of a box, looking worriedly up at the procession of fox form gumiho walking around the perimeter of the box. (Art by me.)

I hate to do this but I'm at a loss. We need to move out of this apartment ASAP, but we can't afford it on our own. We need help. I've made a goal on Ko-Fi. I have some things for sale on there as well. If you can give or buy anything to help, it would be so appreciated. 🧵 ko-fi.com/platinumsoul...

Laz and his crewmates, Azi (bottom) and Sigh (Top) with a funny bird they run into often. These guys keep turning in my brain and I want to properly drill myself into drawing interactions more. Hopefully #artpost

Three individuals, the bottom two looking upwards while the third person stares to the front. There is a bird on his hair.

Second art of February. It's the month of love, so perfect time to draw some BYMMS kisses. I'm really loving Bell and Tae, I can't wait to share their story with you. 💜

First big art piece of the new year! I asked my bestie what I should draw and she chose Pierce the Sky. I'm sooooo excited to write it this year!! (When BYMMS is finished, of course.) 💙

An illustration of four characters placed in panels. The characters from from Linn Foster's novel, Pierce the Sky. From left to right, top to bottom: Lázaro, Suzuka, Tsuki, and Aaz-min.

Lázaro is a dark skinned Hispanic man with long, fluffy black hair and a pointed nose. He's giving Suzuka a sly smile. Suzuka is a French-Japanese individual with short, fluffy black hair that has a pink section in the front. They're looking fondly down at Tsuki. Tsuki is a Japanese man with two-toned lavender and black hair in a long ponytail. He's smiling up at Suzuka with a hand to his face. Aaz-min is an alien woman (Xuaci) with a bright green face and purple body, and near-white hair in a bob cut. She has four red eyes. She's smiling up at Suzuka.

@beeohoney.bsky.social and I wrote a little scene where Modesto got to see Ionna in her casual clothes instead of her official holy garb for the first time. Seems like it's stuck in his head now.

A two panel sketch of Modesto. In one panel he is thinking about Ionna wearing a dress and apron, with her hair in a ponytail, a much more casual outfit than her official habit she is always seen wearing in public. In the next panel the thought is replace with an exclamation point as he realizes what he's doing and looks shocked with himself. Art by me.

Help I'm so invested in these two right now. Worked on this in between writing sessions as my little break time treat. My friend gave me a pose that I really liked and I went a little feral with it. Modesto is so doomed.

An illustration of Ionna holding Modesto by the neck while looking down on him as he meets her gaze and grins. Ionna has tan skin, long straight hair that is black, four eyes, and spider-like limbs coming from her back. Modesto has a mix of pale and dark purple-black skin, four eyes, small horns, one of which is broken, scars across one eye, an imp-like tail, and stretch marks over his stomach. Art by me.

Some men literally rather bleed out than accept help from the person they (claim to) hate. Based on a scene me and @beeohoney.bsky.social wrote tonight. ♥ She sketched it, I colored. Help I already love these two and their toxic rivalry-whatever-the-hell-it-is.

A sketch of Modesto with bloody gashes across his midsection, trying to smile through the pain while Ionna gives him a slightly smug look as she offers to help heal him. Art by @beeohoney, colored by me.

Freak update: his name is Modesto and he's possessed by the dark entity that gave him magic HRT in exchange for his servitude, who goes by Octavius. He has the power to go full demonic for about 30 minutes at a time and uses it to spread his gospel about the 'generous dark.' More in alt text.

An illustrated reference sheet of a character created by Linn. He is a humanoid trans man with four eyes (one of which is scarred shut), a long thin tail, and small horns. His skin is a mix of black and pale, with his limbs being black while his torso is his 'normal' skin tone. His hair is black and fluffy. One side of the sheet has his demonic form, which possesses bigger horns and red fading into the black on his limbs. His eyes also turn black. A dark entity made of shadow is behind him.

Extra information:
- Modesto is AFAB and didn't realize he was a trans man until he was 29 years old (he's 34 now.)
- One year prior to his transition he gave birth to his daughter, Trinity. He loves her more than anything in the world and is very protective of her.
- Is divorced. His husband was accepting of his transition, but couldn't handle his obsession/devotion to the darkness that came with it and left.
- He is mixed race, one of those races being demon-like, hence the demonic features. His four eyes are a trademark of his mother's race.
- He considers himself a priest of the darkness and preaches that the dark will give what the light will never grant.
- He has an ongoing rivalry with a woman who sees herself as the chosen of the god of light. They claim to utterly despise each other, but will often seek each other out and get agitated if the other is absent for too long. They're toxic.
