[October 25/26, 2025] Not many adventures in the early fall. Too many things to do and not enough time to do them in, evidently. But just as the leaves began to turn, Beenjamin reminded me to drink in sunlight and autumn colors now and then. Sometimes, an adventure doesn't have to be grand.

[8/15/26] Today is World Honey Bee Day, but alas, Beenjamin and I are traveling and are not able to say hello to the neighborhood bees we've been visiting a lot this summer. I've still taken plenty of time to tell him I appreciate him.

[September 21, 2025] As a belated birthday outing, I took Beenjamin to Astor Place and the Guggenheim. A day full of art, in other words. This is the first time I took Beenjamin out with the purpose of sharing something with him. We'd have many more adventures after this, but you know that.

[September 16, 2025] My first birthday with Beenjamin, and honestly, it was more about him. We found a small plush from one of my past jobs in the closets I was cleaning out, I bought a cake for "myself" for the first time, and I finished decking out the adventure bag he rides in on our outings.

[7/19/25] One important thing Beenjamin taught Jax: gentleness towards all things, big and small, even the things that are crawling around where they shouldn't. (This very bold Asian lady beetle, for example.)
