I’ve been trying to figure out what I can contribute on this app. I finally decided the best thing I can offer is advice. So here’s my first piece of advice: Stop buying new journals when you haven’t even used the old ones. I’m not telling you what to write, but write SOMETHING. Thank me later ☺️

There ARE certifications for skills training depending on what’s being cleaned and there are many kinds of hazardous “custodial” jobs where specific knowledge and training are essential— but that’s not the point. ALL labor deserves a living wage. Anyone who thinks otherwise is part of the problem.

ALL work takes knowledge and attention.

People who work on dairy and poultry farms go home to their families, they socialize with their friends, the go out shopping and to dinner. The threat is very real to all of us.

We gotta fight dirty the way they do. Make eating animal products sound as ridiculous as it actually is. Use facts but present them in a way that can’t be denied. Use photos of the actual animals so there’s no denying WHO they’re eating and using, then share share share until it hits the mainstream.

Is this a tiny pepper inside my pepper? I don’t know, but I’m gonna plant it and see what happens 🥰🫑 #eatplants

It never ceases to amaze me that the collective ownership business model hasn’t caught on like wildfire. I guess oppressed individualism is more compelling than collective power.

Vegan activists could create even more impactful, hard-hitting ad campaigns that reach millions of people if we FOCUS and stop thinking the vegan capitalist mindset will ever sway mainstream public opinion.

This looks just like the “whale eyes” dogs display when they’re extremely stressed. It’s almost as if pigs feel emotions and pain and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect like the dogs and cats we love and protect 🤔

This winter sucks. I want to go back to summer when things still sucked but it was warm outside 🥺🦋

This is the country they want to get us back to. And a lot of white women and people of color aren’t ready to stop it from happening. We should have been planning to stop this for at least a decade.

I found this plant growing out of a sewer grate and it reminded me that sometimes beauty and goodness can grow out of darkness. I needed that reminder when I was thinking about this troubled world. I hope I can remember the resilience of this plant as we move into a very uncertain future.

Me, born and raised in urban areas in the U.S.: “What’s clean tap water?”

Oh Sweetie, we never had clean water in cities in the U.S.

Somebody put shoes on this previously footless crosswalk sign person, and I think that’s awesome. There’s kindness everywhere you look if you’re paying attention ✨🥾🥾✨

This is an (unfertilized) emu egg. The existence of this egg makes me certain of 3 things: 1) Emus are some kind of dinosaur/fairy hybrid 2) This egg has bestowed magical powers upon me that I haven’t yet discovered, and 3) I feel so honored to live in a world where magical emu eggs exist 🪄✨🪺
