The evolutionary ecology #ExE2026 conference in Cornwall had a very similar vibe to the American Society of Naturalists @asn-amnat.bsky.social stand alone meetings. It would be great to have more European participation in ASN and coordinate future meetings, maybe alternating sides of the Atlantic.

#Evol2026 was such an engaging, interactive, and inclusive meeting! My students and I had a fantastic time. I have been asked about where my IDEA talk from the virtual meeting can be viewed. Here is a link to the talk on the @sse-evolution.bsky.social YouTube channel: youtu.be/xHdZnGNkTLw

love this logo! Combining terrestrial mollusks and Long Island, what could be better? especially if you travel by a) snail or b) train to avoid the traffic. 🐌

The website (and registration) are live for the January 2027 @asn-amnat.bsky.social American Society of Naturalists meeting: www.amnat2027.org On the East Coast of the US for once, which makes this easier for many people to attend by train or car (or travel from Europe more easily)

Better together: sibling cooperation matters! Burying beetle larvae consistently benefited from growing up with siblings, both with & without parents. Huber et al. show that sibling interactions can play a key role in the evolution of family life. Read now! www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/...

Enjoyed seeing Owen Cook and his assistant, Eve, at the University of Chicago Press, yesterday! They’ve got everything under control.
