I didn't realize it was actually raining out there until after we stepped outside without my umbrella. So it was a little wetter for me as well, but c'est la vie. The dog adores walking in this weather. All the smells come out in the rain.

We eat mostly vegetarian with the very occasional meat, almost always locally raised. It's much easier on the wallet to eat plant based protein.

It's a butternut squash. The outer skin will harden and turn a pale orange/tan. The stem will start turning brown. Once harvested, they keep for months in a cool, dark place. This one in my garden is not quite ready to pick.

Barracks Kroger has moved to digital price tags too, so they no longer have to manually go through the store and place/remove sale tags, eliminating jobs. What happens when they've given all the jobs to computers and no one has money to buy things?

They ended up having an in-depth conversation on the magic that hairdressers and makeup artists can do when she was in the studio. But it also somehow made it okay for me to show up at the bus stop in pj's in the morning because that mom did too!
