According to YouTube, from 2027, I need to achieve 10M views every 90 days from my Shorts, or they are pulling the plug on my ability to earn from them. 10M! They also outline we will not be paid for our work if we fail 10M views, but can still earn via their video tasks/promoting YouTube Shop.

Been surprised the last few weeks, consistently uploading similar content roughly at the same time across platforms. How different it falls... YT is the place I feel the most encouraged - comments are longer and so engaging. IG falls flat mostly, but FB has more engagement. Tiktok varies greatly.

This week is my 2 year anniversary of being referred for an NHS ADHD Assessment (disregarding the 2 decades of context before my referral date). 2 years of NOTHING and the NHS keep extending wait times (by 6-18 months per stage) every time I chase them for any scrap of info as to what's going on.

I am sorry I have not been on Twitch lately. A few reasons, some less dramatic than others. I love Skyrim and will return... just want to feel comfortable. Felt increasingly odd - like I'm prey. Hard to have fun when it feels like (sometimes), it's just me and a few men who 'like' me talking at me.

Heart is full right now. This weekend, I briefly met two of my heroes (Peter Davison + Janet Fielding) and then a YouTuber (Happyslip) I loved as a teen in the 00's, replied to my comment on her first video in years. People impact our lives and it feels great to be able to say a direct 'thank you'.

I want a partner, but I do not use social media with the expectation of love or sexual-interest to arrive via my inboxes. I actually feel uncomfortable being forever seen as 'the one' or 'free for the taking' by people across the world via the internet. I want offline connection-old fashioned love.

Never know when I'm going to be taken out by a migraine. Even the non-attack days can be odd. Can't plan anything. When I do plan things, all gets ruined. When I don't and I'm well, it's wasted time/life - I have energy and ability but can't use that time productively. Never feel in control of life.

Four months off kayaking due to migraines, weather and pool closures. I’ve slowly seen what little tone I had disappear again and tonight, my core and stamina were floored too early. Felt sad and little dopamine. Wish I loved a hobby I could do all year round and my body wasn’t crucial for it 💗

As some of my broken stories on IG started playing, I downloaded a second copy of all my data. Tried JSON. More successful. Still been sent a massive time consuming mess I’ll have to sort, tens of thousands of files all jumbled - but at least more content came through (I have originals thankfully).

I’ve felt uncomfortable on Twitter since before Covid (been there 17 years, mostly ignoring it the last 5). Instagram is more complicated to leave (been there 13 years). Facebook (been there 18 years) has parts integral to life but parts I’d have said goodbye to in the early 2010’s if I could have.

I saw people arguing today that they refused to transfer to or try newer platforms if they couldn’t monetise. Many platforms we use today and monetise on only exist because of all the people who shared their content/passions for free on them for years (myself included). Don’t focus on income, live 🤍
