@ssfrigerio.bsky.social The most interesting concept we learned this semester was the Image Restoration Theory, because it's so cool how I can see all of the tactics now in every crisis that arises. If I end up in PR I will use the notes from this day dearly. #crisis11 #com385

@ssfrigerio.bsky.social I would want to measure the before and after of who had a prepared emergency kit pre campaign and post campaign, to see how the readability of the messages came across. This requires clear readability and requires behavioral change, which is not easy to achieve. #crisis8 #com

@ssfrigerio.bsky.social If I was a crisis manager for Chuck E Cheese in July 2025 when a mascot was publicly arrested, I would respond with a sincere apology (to parents and children especially) for how the situation was handled, and for ruining the fun and joy behind the character. #crisis7 #com385

@ssfrigerio.bsky.social The difficulty with knowing your audience on social media is that anonymity makes people tend to spew more negatively, leaning towards skeptic and splenentic, even if that's not true feelings. This post from a local music fest to me had a mostly sympathizer audience. #crisis6

@ssfrigerio.bsky.social I think that Beloitte's Image Restoration Theory is more useful as a crisis manager, due to the assumptions that impact means more than intent, and also because of the mortification and corrective action categories of solutions. Also emphasizes BOTH rep and image. #crisis5

@ssfrigerio.bsky.social I think this post is a perfect example of the anger activism model, as this activist has high anger and a high efficacy and followed through on their actions. The response is to disaster done by Disney, so while there's no risk, there is still public outrage. #com385 #crisis4

@ssfrigerio.bsky.social The Anti-Piracy Warning that came before DVDs is an example of a fear appeal by having a legitimate threat of jail or fines by not complying. I would say that these have mid-high perceived severity, but low susceptibility, and promote efficacy to not pirate. #crisis3 #com385

@ssfrigerio.bsky.social I believe these signs are effective in communicating a warning, especially more-so than a regular Road Work Ahead sign, because it is specific and obvious colored making it hard to miss on the road. This tweet is not problematic. #com385 #Crisis2

@ssfrigerio.bsky.social I choose to be in charge of Public Relations for the company. I think one of my specialties is making people care about something they don’t yet, aka the apathetic low outrage audience. This feels that it will be the least stressful to be running long term. #crisis1 #com385
