The adventure up Mt. Rainier to Muir base camp was an ass kicker and beautiful. 4,500 ft elevation gain, carrying a pack and snowboard through the wind and clouds.

One positive aspect of the major flooding seen here in WA recently was some of my work being validated. Contractors love shit talking on engineers for overdesigning (understandably) but in this case the absurd size of the culvert saved the road from flooding in addition to removing a fish barrier.
