This tech, called “AI“ in the article, is already being used in some NHS trusts. Called Transpara and is a convolutional neural network trained on 1mio images to classify the likelihood of breast cancer in each new new mammography. Boffins made it 😉 www.eurekalert.org/news-release... #WhenTheySayAI

Hidden Heritages - a great resource providing access to digitised Gaelic and Irish folktales. The transcription was done automatically using @transkribus.bsky.social or crowdsourcing. A great example of the use of AI and NLP for the benefits of research and society.
