Mostly stuck to PC games but cheated a little. Tbh I've always been pretty bad at video games but I had fun anyway, lol. Have a special place in heart for Age of Empires & Dark Age of Camelot.
Age of Empires II, The Sims, Dark Age of Camelot, Starcraft, Diablo II, Black & White, Quake Arena, Oddworld, Super Mario Bros. 3

It will always be insane to me that George Harrison was like 1cm from being murdered after one of his best friends had already been murdered and Beatles fans are literally like this whenever he talked about how anxious he was all the time.

Side note: Really enjoy the "dressed as the Babadook while it was more of an adults drinking wine kinda vibe" thing going on here.
Maureen in 1978. She's wearing a black top hat, black choker, black top, b&w vertical stripe leggings, a bat necklace and a chunky black studded belt. She has dark eyeshadow and black nails. Behind her are people dressed in regular clothes and an elegant lady in a white dress.

We need to talk more about what an absolute baddie Maureen Starkey was. George, I get it.

Photo taken moments before disaster.
1969 era George Harrison being led out his house during the drug bust. He's staring down the barrel of the camera like the photographer just made the biggest mistake of his life.

Crossing my fingers this makes it into the George biopic.
Pete Shotton recalling George's drug bust:

“I’d never seen George so angry in my life,” Shotton recalls. “He came into the house—and went BERSERK.” He would have told the cops where his dope was stashed, but they seemed more interested in playing out the bust, as though it [were] being stage-managed—which, in a way, it was: even the press had been tipped off to chronicle their handiwork.

When a photographer popped out of the front hedge, that was the final straw. “George chased him murderously around the garden,” recalls Shotton, who couldn’t help laughing at the impossible scene.

“George was chasing him; the police were chasing George. It was like something out of the Keystone Kops.” Leaping over garden ornaments and bushes, George kept shouting: “I’ll kill you! I’ll fucking kill you!” Later, being led away by Derek Taylor, he pointed at a reporter and yelled: “The fox has its lair, the bird has its nest. This is my fucking house!” — The Beatles by Bob Spitz

Beatles fans when talking about the "I'll play whatever you want me to play" argument or anything George does in Get Back:
Screenshot of Judd Apatow's reaction to the Oscar slap:

"He could have killed him. That's pure out of control rage and violence. They've heard a million jokes about them in the last three decades. They are not freshman in the world of Hollywood and comedy. He lost his mind."

George Harrison circa 1978 chilling in one of the Friar Park greenhouses. He's kneeling with his eyes closed. The perm is there.

This is the only good kind of Beatles discourse.
tumblr user good-to-drive posts:

"Shipping is fine but I like to imagine what would have happened if the beatles were forced to choose one member to be sacrificed before the sun rises but all four must agree or all four will be killed"They add:

"My two cents:
John and Paul would both devolve very quickly into “we’re the greatest artists of all time, our lives will be more successful and more important than yours anyway, it should be one of you two.” They would feel fucking horrible about it, but they don't want to die, and they don't want to see each other die. They would present a united front as long as there was never any realistic possibility of sacrificing one or the other of them – if George and Ringo had the sense to team up on one of them then things might be different, but they don't, so it isn't.

Ringo is the first one who would actually vote for himself. He'll even vote for himself when it doesn't make sense – Paul and John will pretty quickly team up on George just on instinct, and Ringo could probably push George over the edge if he really tried, but he's quickly resorted to pretending this isn't happening. Just keep voting Ringo. This will be over soon. Everything will be over soon. He’s quite sure that all of them will be sacrificed, so going to the quiet place inside of himself makes the most sense. Soon the waves will close over his head and he'll be warm below the storm. Happy and safe. Happy and safe. The others, too."Continued:

"At one point, in a moment of either bravery or weakness, John would offer to sacrifice himself. But Ringo would vote Ringo and it would devolve into chaos. George, out of sheer contrariness, votes for Billy Shears. The argument continues.

The closest they'd come to escape is John and Paul finally, painfully, deciding to vote for Ringo. But George refuses. Partly because he feels very deeply that this is unfair, and partly because if the four of them can't agree then John and Paul both die, and he's so fucking angry at this point that he's perfectly willing to be sacrificed if it means that for once John and Paul won't get what they want at everyone else's expense.

Of course, the twist is that only the people who voted for themselves get to live, but frankly John and Ringo wouldn't take it very well. George was so sick of subservience that he chose to value his life even if that meant choosing to end it, while Paul's clever determination to game the situation and come out on top ultimately killed him. Neither John nor Ringo would ever entirely come to terms with any of this. They'd spend the rest of their lives wishing they hadn't been willing to die, since they'd rather that they'd have died."

Personally have never understood that perception. He easily has the hunkiest build of any of the Beatles. He also cared deeply about looking masculine so he's probably thrilled with his casting.

Beatles fans back in the day used to say photos of George never did him justice, and he was absurdly attractive in person. Every now and then I feel like a photo captures it.
Colour photo of George Harrison from a press conference in 1964. His chin is resting on his folded over hand, and he's staring off into the distance with intensity. He looks really hot.

It's so funny that people go around insisting Paul was extremely normal when he was regularly saying stuff like this in interviews.
“Linda is a nicer person than I am,” Paul says of his wife. “Women are usually nicer,” he adds, “and I have a theory about that: it’s because they’re closer to nature. They get their periods and have babies.”“I know what the boys are after,” he says to me, with the air of any father talking to his daughter, “because I know what I was after. And it wasn’t marriage,” he says with a smile. “It had nothing to do with security. It’s very weird when you were man-the-hunter and you know what visiting boyfriends are after.”Paul also stresses the normality of his marriage. “It’s a real marriage: anyone out there who’s really married can sympathize. We love each other, but we’re male and female animals living in the same quarters. She does everything different form how I do it.”

A moment to appreciate Ringo's incredible taste. "My new craze -- this year's flavour for me is Nirvana, a band called Texas, The Sugarcubes from Iceland, and The Cramps." - E! Extreme Close Up (June 1992)

FWIW it seems like he warmed up to it thanks to Bob Dylan. This is a quote from his son Dhani:
Dhani Harrison in an interview with The Line of Best Fit in 2023:

"My dad didn't really like rap music. But then I remember when he was doing the Traveling Wilburys, Bob Dylan used to like wearing his hat backwards, and my dad would be like, ‘Why? Why are you wearing your hat back?’ Until Dylan answered, ‘Because that's what rappers do, and they are the only ones saying anything!’ Bob Dylan was listening to NWA, Public Enemy.

Since then, my dad had more respect for it and left it alone. Later in life, RZA became a dear friend, and I think my dad would have gotten on really well with him. They're both very respectful people who embrace all cultures and are well versed in different forms of spirituality. They would have had a really good conversation."

One of the most annoying things about Beatles fans is the constant complaints that George was too bitter and cynical when in fact he was cooking.
Lyrics from George Harrison's song Pt 2 Vatican Blues:

Now how come nobody really noticed
Puff of white smoke knocked me out
The truth is hiding, lurking, banking
Things they do at night

It's quite suspicious to say the least
Even mentioned it to my local priest
One Our Father, three Hail Marys
Each Saturday nightLyrics from George Harrison's song Brainwashed:

They brainwashed my great uncle
Brainwashed my cousin Bob
They even got my grandma
When she was working for the mob
Brainwash you while you're sleeping
While in your traffic jam
Brainwash you while you're weeping
While still a baby in your pram
Brainwashed by the military
Brainwashed under duress
Brainwashed by the media
You're brainwashed by the press
Brainwashed by computer
Brainwashed by mobile phones
Brainwashed by the satellite
Brainwashed to the bone

I wish guitarists would do a video for George like drummers have done for Ringo. I keep thinking of this quote from Alex Scally and I feel like it's important. So much of the guitar playing of the last 30 odd yrs was inspired by him yet folks are like it's too bad he wasn't another Jimmy Page.
“As a guitarist, I’ve always loved George Harrison. I’ve never been a fan of the rock'n'roll style, or the solos, etc. I like simple things. When Harrison does a solo, it doesn’t sound like a solo, it’s just his part, it’s never a show of virtuosity. I don’t like sham.” - Alex Scally (Beach House)
