At this point you have to wonder about the people who haven't figured out that if they ask for two fish and chips, they're getting so much more food for just a little more money than with two fish and one chips.

I mean, I can't stand people scribbling all over their books, but they are her property so she can do what she likes with them. If he wants to read the same books without annotations, I'd like to introduce him to a concept called the library.

I know you're joking but I have seen Americans complain on social media how arrogant and unfair it was of Germany to beat Curacao 7:1, when 2:1 would have been enough! 🙄

"A" Euro is singular. The one Euro is a coin. Two Euro is also a coin. Five Euro is a note. No slang needed for that.

I read every day but I haven't heard of a single one of those books. We all read different things, and that's ok. Literary fiction would put me into a slump instead of take me out of it.

I'm guessing they need to be replaced more regularly which costs money? I'm not sure why you're so keen on putting the blame on the parents when this is a new stupid rule directly attributable to Brexit.

Beate H 💙📚🦔 @beate251.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

Why would you obtain two passports for a tiny baby if you think it only needs one? They didn't know about the new rules and decided on the EU passport which, let's face it, is usually more useful. I knew about the new rule but I am chronically online - I doubt new parents have that time.

Sophie Cockroach has always been a horrible person, but this seems a new low. Funny how they only ever bleat about equal opportunities when it seems to disadvantage them.

Beate H 💙📚🦔 @beate251.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

I agree. It's inherently stupid to try and stop a theft when you have no personal stake in it (your employer is richer than you and who cares about a few choc eggs) but sacking someone for one incident seems excessive.
