I really wish Japanese line was more widely available. Cuz GSC figurines at least can be purchased from local European distributors - but how to get the stuff, that can be only found in winning automats, without losing a fortune on resellers prices, shipping 'n taxes - honestly have no clue.

I don't think I saw gradients on any of them! Aside from main colorfill, they all seem to be hand-painted. And maybe it's for the better they don't use airbrush, cuz with the way they color it now - it could create even more accidents and inconsistency, despite adding more life to the figurines.

I honestly find it hard to draw things, which I am not connected with, just for the character.. to just exist there on my canvas, menacingly. That's why one would almost never find me doing expression sheets, or sketch-pages of character doodles, or whatever. I don't connect with them.

I wouldn't call it a theme study. My art is rather a psychological diary, n' sometimes I spin the wheel of which character shall carry my load XD Even when I explore ideas with characters, such as Alastor, or Lucifer, they come from within, be it aesthetics, or some relatability towards character.

But when it comes to this particular drawing, it was rather projection and her acting as my little subject, rather than tied to a particular episode in her story. Although themes of wasting and blood does reflect her thrauma, that's why she is here.

Honestly, with the way it's vague why people get in Hell (Pentious sin was literally inaction and selfblame, which is wild to condemn him for this), she could have gotten here for just being too sweet XD But she comes from era, when women were ordered about, so she probably had her reasons to sin.

Actually doing interactions betweens peoples OCs could be funny now that I think of it! She is very very chill and soft in every way imaginable. This does come with own flaws, but that what makes their dynamic interesting - they can exist in perfect tandem, but under the surface it can be unheathy.

I still fix them on top of done artwork, thus constantly adjusting them just to look appealing on every wip stage - is a waste of time, as well as added shading sometimes makes a big difference. So there is a valid gray area of "trust the process" and "as a customer I am concerned of final result".-

Receiving a redline does feel jarring sometimes, ngl, but it is a good direct way to convey desired fixes, so artist have to get over themselves and not take redlining as an insult, cuz it ain't about that. Some parts do look different on completed artworks! For me it's usually eyes - sometimes-

Tricky! Many artists doesn't allow drawing over their pieces, even commissioned ones, unless asked first. At the same time artwork made for order is eligible for fixes, especially on early stages, and ignoring your wishes is assholish on artist's part (unless you are asking for something completely-

I also personally think, that desperation in sensitive topics has been so much watered down and romanticized, that now viewed as something normal. And I am kinda on a personal mission to make these types of arwork HURT, rather than being enjoyed

I always sucked at expression practices, that's why I never do 'em, hahaha XD I think the most I pushed were in arts with Alastor's grin, anthropomorphic rage and arts, containing desperation (that's my go to subject). Other than that I prefer languid laid back expressions, detached from reality.

That's why I would like to find a way for a balanced result. I personally don't really like having alts and bts alongside final work, to me they ruin the initial feeling artwork gave. But I do agree, that losing rendering details feels like tragedy and at least it can be appreciated through an alt.
