Salt of the Earth 1954 Hollywood worked damn hard to suppress this flick, so I suggest you check it out. It was blacklisted, and so had to be produced independently. It's incredibly explicit in it's depiction of tactics that are used by and against striking workers...

Last night for Commie Movie Night we watched Modern Times-1936. I think it might be the first time I saw a Charlie Chaplin movie in full, It was delightful, and I loved the old school practical effects. I think the worker feeding machine designed to increase production got the most giggles out of me

Watched From Dusk Till Dawn after having not seen it for years, and was so happy I watched it again! It's one of my favorites, so I don't know why I let it slip away for so long. What a wall to wall banger!

Went to a pub event tonight celebrating the October Revolution anniversary, and among other things got this book for 5 bucks. It was published in the USSR (neat!)

A book published in the USSR written by Lenin. It's title is On the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. It features chapters from various works by Lenin on the subject.

So I'm fossil hunting again, right? and it's like "oooh, a couple bivalves" and "oh cool, a little cephalopod" and then BAM! I find the biggest, baddest fossil I ever personally found! Look at this bad boy!
