#06 Adaptation Just a day after she was found on the beach, Melissae was back up wanting revenge on her clan for just dumping her on the surface after failing her trial. She's got a long way to go but she has the fire and grit needed to keep going. #inktober #art #dnd #oc

#05 Plague If you see a person wheezing a single word over and over. Quarantine them! If you see a person hunched over and their nails like talons get a guard! If you see a thick ochre weeping from their withered emaciated frame... It's already too late. #art #inktober #tradart #zombies

#04 Waterfall Ogruk often came here to relax and de-stress from the toils of the week. Now he comes to recoup his strength and build his body back up. And watch Killi jump off the waterfall. Enjoy some Ork butt. #art #Orc #inktober

#3 Clump Not a bunch of trees. Or another word for clomp. A hairy little bastard of a goblin who gives off a sense of he's done it all before. Just get on with it. Anyway. Here's Clump. #inktober #art #dnd #oc

Decided to do another sketch tonight. Drawing Vanessa as Jill from RE3 Remake. I might do some other things like this. And yes I know the OG RE 3 is better but I think the modern look suits Vanessa better. #OC #residentevil #fanart

#01 Early bird. Vanessa is not an early bird. Despite being the same age as her Half Elf wife she handles mornings much worse due to being only human. Much coffee and plenty of good grub is needed! #inktober #oc #ocart

Ogruk and Killi come home to Bullseye a pup they adopted to help Ogruk with his rehabilitation for his new limbs. Learning to control them properly to regain his finesse and control. I am happy with how the doggo turned out considering I don't draw animals much. #rpg #ocart #dnd #ttrpg

#art #ttrpg #cthulu Just sharing my character from a Call of Cthulu game a friend of mine is running. We don't have names were just our jobs. I ofc went bodyguard. The first expedition is done! I survived somehow but three others didn't. Don't trust an old man in a lighthouse.

Another sketch of Oskar my Half Orc in Old School Essentials. He is level 2 now so he's getting up in the world. Technically in the setting he could retire with the gold he's amassed but hey, he's got family to protect now! He's let his hair grow out since I last drew him. #OSE #OCart #OC

Always find myself back to drawing these two when I need a pick me up. Here the two are back reunited after a particularly fierce battle. Vanessa on the front and Monsoon alongside the Healers saving lives. #DnD #OCart #TTRPG

Did a sketch of Killi tonight. First time drawing in a while. Happy with it though I can't help but think she always seems too tall because she is actually a Halfling. I suppose on their own they do seem the normal height. Added a bit of colour because why not. #OC #dnd

Arthur "Ox" Oxley. Grew up on a farm before the Great War, enlisted and somehow survived. Now he finds himself miles away from home helping make a film in a jungle. Sure he's the guy that carries the luggage but it's a living. He's my character for Shiver. A cool horror trrpg. #shiver #ttrpg

This was the showdown between Vanessa and the traitor Heracles. One by one he dealt with the crew until Vanessa managed to take his eye as he took hers causing him to retreat. He's the reason she has so many scars. Vanessa is 6'6" and Heracles is 10' 2". A monster in and out. #dnd #oc #dndart

Vanessa and Monsoon. The mark on Vanessa's face is a prison brand. She was framed for the death of her crew and sent to Wyndfarm Penitentiary. Normally it goes on the back of the hand but she broke the warden's nose for accusing her of her crews murder. She was given an extra two years. #DNDART

Gareth "Bearsan" Jones @bearsan.bsky.social · 06/12/2024

Vanessa Augustine Nabatowa. One of my favourite characters I've made. The leader and most determined member of the crew. Once a soldier, seven star adventurer and saviour in an apocalypse. She is the spouse of Monsoon. They grew up together in the same orphanage and fell in love. #OC #DNDART #DND

Varanasi Monsoon: Mark of the storm Half-Elf. A devout Cleric of Eldath Monsoon is the soul of the group. Calm and respectful but fiercely protective of her wife Vanessa her friends and those she protects and those of her convent. Hardly seen without a warm smile. #DND #DNDART #OC

Killi Softstep. Halfling Assassin who uses her lightning speed as well as her assets that god gave her. Forever flirtatious and hopelessly romantic in secret. When the traitor attacked she found Ogruk and carried him away to a safe house to help nurse him to health. #OC #DNDART #DND

Twinkletop Mattertearer. Gnome artificer. Makes all the specialised gear of the crew and specializes in prosthetic limbs (thankfully). Also incredibly strong for a gnome. Serves as the groups medic too. Has many safehouses over the world. Doesn't seem to ever sleep. #dnd #dndart #oc

Threehorn Bluehoof. Abandoned by his herd for the third horn growing out of his head this Minotaur behemoth found solace In Vanessa's crew. Loving and caring he is the emotional heart of the group. Normally wears just a large kilt. So this is a lot of clothes for him. #oc #dndart #dnd

Next up is Ogruk Spinebreaker. He suffered the most at the hands of the traitor in the group, losing his right hand and almost his entire left arm. A studious battle master who could measure any opponent instantly. Also the biggest softie. #oc #dndart #dnd

Figured I'd post some more about Vanessa's crew then more about herself. This is Melissae Seaspray the Triton Rogue/ranger. She is the water specialist as Vanessa is based in a port city. Shy and self conscious Melissae has many friends in the deep she can call on. #dnd #oc #dndart

Inktober finale! Second Is Monsoon, Vanessa's wife who is a Half Elf Cleric. They are both the same age though Vanessa feels it a bit more being human. The last one (31) is one of my faves. The wonder if Vanessa and Oozedeg met. The tavern would be drank dry. #OC #DND #Inktober #artmoots

More inktober. Almost done I promise. 26 is my current DND character Gunthoc Augustus Falch. He's a variant human barbarian cursed by gods. At this point he was talking to the god that made his life so miserable. He was dead at this point talking to him in the in-between.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence. More than ever, we must stand by our trans family and support them, hold space for them, and insist the scapegoating and targeting stop. Now.
