In 1982 John Matuszak was playing football for the LA Raiders, and he posed for Playgirl. He’d had a few acting roles, but was still 2 years away from playing Chunk in The Goonies. He was a proto-bear for sure. I never got into football, but I certainly admired a bunch of coaches and players! 🥵

I don’t ever expect to get issues 1 and 2 - of which there were only 40 and 120 handmade copies respectively - but I do have a book which reprints the photos from those two. Can’t believe I’ve finally got these.

Issues 3-7 of Bear, 1987-1988, along with Best Of Brahma Studio, compiling Chris Nelson’s photos from those two issues.
