Rattle snakes are so rare in New England that I've never seen one here. My last rattlesnake was in Eastern Oregon decades ago. They don't like high elevations where I used to do most of my hiking in the Cascades on the West Coast.

The groundhog must have eaten the roots of my peach tree because it basically fell over. A healthy six year old tree. It was entirely too easy to turn that wonderful tree into bags of yard waste and some wood for the smoker. Goodbye my friend. Nice to know my chainsaw still works.
