In grad school, I had an Indian colleague who was being threatened with an arranged marriage. She's gay. Her family was there and she came out to them. I was recruited as support. I was terrified for her. Her dad just said "Well, I am going to have a hard time arranging a marriage to a woman" ❤️

I'm pretty sure a dentist nearly gave me lidocaine poisoning and I have have a bruised nerve. 5+ injections. Couldn't lift my head or swallow. At some point I just said "STOP" I felt instant numbness with the first one and that can mean a damaged nerve. I can't feel my face at all 6 hours later. 🙃
