Breakfast and lunch styles for the next 6 days for me.

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

For the last 3 months, I leave when its still dark outside and I cant see the door handles or keys to lock up. I even fell down the stairs from the deck one morning.🥲 So I FINALLY had time to get the last supplies and get our deck lights put up. Its on a 24hr timer, so they turn off at some point.

...at this point Im ready to shut this down and learn a different way. Translating this shouldnt even exist.

000

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

@duolingoverde.bsky.social please make this stop. I shouldn't have to translate "hmm" or "ha" its severely unnecessary.

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Been still going...but noticing shit like this. Why tf do i have to translate this? I cant even report something like this as stupid. Sometimes ive actually seen the wrong answers given, and still cant report it. This was honestly why i was on the fence to stop or not. @duolingoverde.bsky.social

Didnt have to work until 10 this morning, so got to finally see a sky like this. Even tho i work earlier mornings (2:30am) I dont normally get to see this since I work inside a warehouse. It was nice to go out to our eastern lookout spot nearby and see where the sun will come up. Its peaceful.

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

Got to sleep in a bit today. Kinda needed it. Today I still work. Just later in the morning. And thankfully for only a few hours cuz management fucked up. Also never thought I would hit 1000 days in learning spanish.

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

My lunches for the next 6 days. Then I get a day off. (Wednesday) Ive been meal prepping my lunches and breakfasts so I dont have to worry about them the night before or day of. I did the math, and each one of these lunches basically cost $2.83 So I guess Im saving myself some money?👍

Computers, will never experience the feeling it takes to make something from scratch, and even get a little messy doing it. There is no satisfaction when a computer makes something for us, and takes away the experience and joy of creating something out of nothing. #fuckai

If anyones interested, this is the list of foods Ive strictly eaten now during my weightloss journey. At first I was kickstarting it by having a glass of metamucil every morning. I even had a workout routine (3days cardio a week) which i miss tbh. Havnt in a year. Still losing weight.

🍞 MotherBean gifted me some bread machine bread mixes and Ive been on a slight bread baking rampage yesterday and today. 1 is yummy, its almost gone. 2 was a bit stinky so we are feeding it to the local birds. 3 smells good its ready to eat. (Is the pic) 4 is cooling rn. 5 is in machine.

Its really looking better.🥲 Ks done with the majority of internal work rn, so we are taking a break working with him until dryer weather. MotherBean and I have been doing detail work and cleaning. Like cleaning minor spots the paint slipped through, fixing scratches, wiping down surfaces.

Recent photos. Of friday and yesterday. Paint is drying, ceiling fan up, shelves in china cabinet. We are almost ready... ✨🤞🙏

More paint prep. Put up cabinet doors, similar to how Is' team did before. But also patching up holes in the paper. Lots to prep before paint.

110

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 09/02/2026

Prepping for proper painting in the rest of the house! (since Is' team got the wrong shade of white that i wanted) Second pic is the comparison of whites. (Left is correct, right is wrong)

✨New heater!✨ 😭 Yes we have been working in the cold for the last 10 weeks here. Each of us pretty much brought a space heater to help warm us up.

Couple extra photos courtesy of my contractor K. These are the new front door, and the dual pane sliding glass door after final installation, and before the last posts photo.

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

Recent shot by Mother Bean. She was showing me the cable cover for the future ceiling fan. Didnt like the direction it was going, thats been fixed now. This also shows the new dual pane sliding back door in my room. As well as the proper paint for my room.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

Heres recent shots of the bathrooms. New toilets have been put in. New vanity in first bathroom. (Same vanity I mentioned that Mother Bean and I got into the house ourselves with no tools or help.) My bathroom has better shower walls. Things also have slowly been repainted and fixed.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

Then came the plumbing leaks with several meetings with a plumber company. Everythings fixed now. At this point, Mother Bean and I feel the house is trusting us enough to go down her list of issues, because it was 'one more thing' after another.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

This is the other sides rot of same door in my room. Its all been replaced and fixed. We have replaced less than 25 feet worth of rot on that side of the wall outside... Still have more to do. It leads around and found some under first bathroom window. Outside work is on hold now.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

Is and his team knew there was rot. They covered it with 2 cardboard pieces, 1 chunk of my new flooring, and slapped my floor down like no big deal to hide it. 😡 4th pic is after K fixed and replaced it all with new, sturdy floor. 😢

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

After rain storm passed, K went and found this. Rot. Lots of it. I legit was so stressed seeing this. Where I put pressure on the floor, it was rotted so much I couldve fell in.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

We had another nasty rain storm, and it somehow came in the house in my room. Learned that the floor there was "squishy" (2nd and 3rd pics are before pressure and after pressure. Lookit where the wall and floor meet) Bun and I did another famous patch outside just in case.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

Beginning December. First pic with new 3rd contractor after 5 interviews. We will call him "K" He made new shelves in the kitchen cuz he saw Is had removed them for some reason...

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

Heres some more bs that Is and his team did before they were fired. Hole in ceiling going straight to roof. Ceiling spine trime just... 🤢 Walls removed so violently... Exposing wires and such... They didnt care... We lost a lot of money cuz of them, and cant fight them for it.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

This was after we told Is that we didnt want those shower walls, and he was fired. They had removed them and took them. The floor also wasnt closed well and we could see the outside. So lots of litthe fk ups they did. Also water heaters exhaust was messed up bad in 2nd pic.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

Initially I thought the blue would look nice, but after seeing this all, I didnt like it. So that was my fault. Is had gotten the right blue, but again semigloss and not satin. Theres a difference. Semigloss is super shiny reflective, satin isnt that much.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

One day the floor was bare, the next day my new flooring (again I didnt choose it) was already put down. There was a lot that still needed to be done... Also they didnt let the paint dry long enough, and everything dried shut...

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

Is kept leaving open exposed areas, like that gap under the new first bathroom window. We kept having rain storms... And that can damage the wood structure or soak insulation. Which it did... Bun and I had to go over multiple times and put up temporary patches, cuz Is kept removing them.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

At the beginning i gave Is color swatches of paint I wanted. He had discarded them, and got the wrong paint. I wanted "silent white" in satin. He got "ultra white" in semi gloss. I didnt learn til later that it was wrong.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

Front deck had major rot, but Is used regular wood and not pressure treated. Also they built a hand rail right against the front window. Window screen was inaccessible. Deck rail has been removed, but entire thing is not up to code. Steps not spaced right.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

This is when things started... Not working out with the 2nd contractor. We will call him "Is". Is was not communicating with me, or asking me what I wanted, and ended up making choices without asking me. I did not pick these tubs, or shower walls.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

August of '25. Had wall between rooms moved a foot to give Buns room more living space. The windows were removed and so was carpeting. First contractor didnt do anything, so this work was the second one. Dont think they put insulation in that wall, and they used plywood for the wall itself.

100

Beans✨🧿✨ @beanscreates.bsky.social · 29/01/2026

First bedroom, second bedroom, and second bathroom. Buns room is first room, mine will be second with the second bathroom. We learned that second room was deadbolted shut, to rent out. There was no door handle.
