Frens, if you live in Oregon, a rescue called Hazel House apparently has litter of six blue Merle corgi puppies, who look like me and @herbertthecorgi.bsky.social . If you’re in that area, please reach out to that shelter about giving these pups a home #CorgiCrew #corgi #corgisky #oregon #dogs

I initially thought I succeeded at basic dog agility training by getting Kona to go into the culvert pipe at the dog park. When he didn't come out, I realized that he was just happy to have found a shady spot to rest.

Not a bad view from the 21st floor of the Downtown Portland Hilton. I miss my dog, Kona, but I know he's having fun with my son while I'm out of town.

On our way to drop off my son for volunteer duty at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, we discovered an awesome dog park in Vancouver: Dakota Dog Park. Lots of friendly dogs for Kona to play with.

I can no longer refer to Mona and Vinny as "my" dogs because my soon-to-be ex-wife is getting them in the divorce. I look forward to visitations like this recent one, as they will always have my heart.

I removed the Miata's passenger seat and replaced it with foam cushions and a thick towel so Kona could ride with me in comfort. We brought his splash-proof bowl so he could stay hydrated. Remarkably, it survived all of the hard cornering this car is capable of without spilling a drop of water.

I'd like to introduce my BlueSky friends to my newest best friend, Kona! He's an 8-month old, fluffy bundle of Husky love. I adopted him from the sweetest young family last night that, sadly, could not keep him due to their newborn human baby requiring all of their attention.

@nytimes.com published 199 terms that are disappearing in Trump's administration, based on agency memos that order their removal or caution their use. In "1984," Orwell explored how restricting language can reshape public thought & limit dissent. Aka Newspeak. Let's be the voices these words need.

Screen shot from the New York Times with the headline “These Words Are Now Discouraged at Federal Agencies” and the text Agencies have issued guidance to employees on hundreds of terms. An analysis of government websites shows many of the same words being removed from their pages. 3 minute read. The partial list of terms includes activism, affirming care, anti-racism, assigned at birth, at risk, biases, biologically male, BIPOC, Black and latinx, clean energy, climate crisis, confirmation bias, cultural heritage, DEI, disability, discriminatory, disparity, diverse groups, diversity, equitableness, feminism, gender ideology, Gulf of Mexico, hate speech, implicit bias, inclusiveness, inclusivity, inequalities, injustice, intersectionality, LGBTQ, marginalized, most risk, Mx, nonbinary, people + uterus, pregnant people, prejudice, pronouns, racial inequality, sexuality, social justice, socioeconomic, stereotypes, systemic, they/them, transgender, traumatic, unconscious bias, underprivileged, victims.

This really sucks. How are guitarists supposed to improvise solos if they have to constantly consider if what they are playing at any given moment could earn them a copyright complaint? youtu.be/cPehQ6dGifE?...
