the replies to this are making me deeply cynical. i played vampire survivors for quite a bit and while i enjoyed it after a bit it did just feel like i was an elderly person at the casino pressing a button at a slot machine over and over again. i want my gameplay to have *some* thought behind it!

i think its special to play a game where the objective is as blatant as "walk around, do things, have fun." it means that every group will play slightly differently. while this game has an ending i hope the save we play in lasts for a while, like a minecraft server

also, i've been getting a lot of mileage from walking instead of running in-game. while waiting for one of my friends i just walked around the starting area instead of wildly running around and its weirdly rewarding. every part of the game feels like the destination.

in short, i want to make progress with group a, but also with group b, while staying surprised throughout. big walk seems like such a good game to just... sit around in though. and it feels rewarding to unlock these "hangout spots" rather than "make in-game progress"

as i play big walk, i've been met with "i don't want to play more through this, i want to see how [xyz] reacts to it when we play and then see what goes beyond that". but then when i play with [xyz] i think "well i want to see how [abc] reacts. and then see what goes beyond that"
