This has been a shutout by republicans, where power & favorable laws were handed to the wealthy, and the people's power removed. The influence of citizens in government has been less than 1% since at least the '80s. When people ask why we don't "do something" - we have no power or leverage.

You're right. The reason we have a 2 party system is because our elections are winner takes all, and no 3rd party can ever win. And then republicans have damaged voting systems by suppressing votes. Now we have a system that is so corrupt, the will of the people is denied, given to the wealthy.

Mathematician Matt Parker has the simplest calculation, imo. Convert to seconds. 1 million seconds is 11 days. 1 billion seconds is 35 years. 1 trillion is 35,000 years. If my math is correct, we're talking about 21,000 years. Not quite 35,000 years, but do we believe he's 21,000 years' worth? 🤬

We went with (ugh) Amazon because we couldn't afford a conventional mattress. We'd started with an 8" mattress and replaced it with a 10" mattress, which is much better. We also couldn't bring a conventional mattress upstairs because the stairway door opening is too small!

They're not the best, but have you thought about a memory foam mattress? They're not as nice as a conventional mattress, but they're far cheaper. Unfortunately, the best deals on that are through Amazon. A mattress store would be much more expensive.
