I know, it's a link to Instagram. Sorry, but it was too good not to share. Just a little #albuquerque #satire when it comes to #LandUse #urbanism and bizarre things called Neighborhood Association Coalitions. www.instagram.com/p/DeFwEuGB38X/?st…

An honest public discussion of Edmonton's financial albatross, and by a sitting councillor no less. Bravo @michaeljanz.bsky.social! money quote: "The road budget is denying neighbourhoods the swimming pool, library, playground, or alleyway repairs they need." edmontonjournal.com/opinion/colu...

Michael Janz: Let's build rec centres, libraries and pools instead of new roads

The road budget is denying neighbourhoods the swimming pool, library, playgournd, or alleyway repairs they need.

The City of Santa Fe is initiating a rain water runoff program to capture and purify roadway and other nonpermeable surface runoff. It's a cool idea that I hope is successful and embraced throughout the city. #SantaFe #NewMexico #rain #runoff #conservation #water #stormwater […]

A reminder that Google Maps allows you to alert it to mistakes it made and suggest fixes.

The "Fix an address" screen in Google Maps showing a "pin" on "Lake America"

The form to fill out a false address, with me typing in "Lake Ontario"

Did #reddit just lock out browser use for mobile users? Well, glad I can still switch to desktop mode to get around that if I need some information from there. Glad the #federated choices are growing.

🚨 ABQ ACTION ALERT: Tonight, City Council’s LUPZ Committee considers O-26-55, which would make quick-build street safety improvements a routine consideration when we repave or restripe streets. Speak in support! Sign up by 3:30 PM today: www.cabq.gov/council/find...

Strong Towns Albuquerque graphic explaining what O-26-55 would do, with colorful rounded text boxes and a photo of a bicycle pavement marking. Headline reads: “When we touch a street, let’s make it safer.” Albuquerque is considering a policy to make quick-build safety improvements part of the conversation whenever streets are repaved or restriped. Quick builds are lower-cost, fast, and adjustable, allowing dangerous streets to be improved now and treatments refined over time. Examples include safer crossings, protected bike lanes, slower turns, and pedestrian refuges.

Collage showing examples of quick-build street projects around the country. Photos show painted curb extensions and pedestrian space protected with flexible bollards, a protected bicycle lane separated from traffic by posts, and other low-cost street safety treatments. A paper-style caption in the center reads: “Need some visual aid? Here are some examples of quick-build projects across the country.”

Thank you @Radical_EgoCom for posting this great meme. Pinning this to my page so nobody forgets. "Assassinated by FBI 1969 Hampton was 21 when the US government recognized Hampton was dangerous to its capitalist system."
