RIP Gerrit Graham, aka Marshall Lucky, one of the funniest characters in movie history.

Watched this last night, mainly because I'll watch almost anything Melanie Lynskey is in. It was really good, but sad. The plot is theater kids are making a musical based on one of my favorite movies, Waitress. Sunny Sandler is good in the lead too.

Watched this last night. Really good and dark. Jennifer Aniston is a chronic pain sufferer who is obsessed with the suicide of another woman in her support group (Anna Kendrick). Jennifer should get more credit for how she uses her position to challenge herself. She could have coasted and didn't.

Watched last night. Excellent movie with an intense ending I wasn't expecting. Diane Keaton, Peter Weller and Albert Finney were awesome and it was cool seeing Tina Yothers and Tracey Gold in their pre-TV years.

Watched this last night. I read mixed reviews but I loved it. Really funny. Not sure I would have even bothered without the presence of the hottest septuagenarian on earth, Mary Steenburgen.

I've become obsessed with Angus MacLachlan. He only has made five movies and I've only seen these two, but I'm watching a third, Goodbye To All That, soon. I think I'm going to move to his hometown, Winston-Salem, just because of him.

Watched this a couple of nights ago. It was way better than I expected. I have to say Sally Field is the only reason I watched since I've had a crush on her since Smokey & The Bandit, and she was great but it was just overall a really sweet movie.

Just watched. My wife and i hesitated because we're not into suspense or violence but this was as good as advertised. One of the best Clint Eastwood movies I've seen and the setting was amazing.

Watched this last night. I don't know how I'd never seen it although in 1999 I wasn't really watching movies. Much darker than I expected but I loved it.

Now watching. I read bad reviews but any movie with Steve Zahn AND Amanda Peet can't be bad, and it isn't. I can't believe I've never seen this before.

Now watching. If it's possible for a movie to be cute, sweet and raunchy at the same time, this is it. Aubrey Plaza is great as usual but the whole cast is awesome.

My Early Amanda Peet film festival continues, though she's not in it much. (Mostly) twentysomethings at a NYE party, 1999. Eclectic cast including Jennifer Garner, Steven Wright and Buck Henry. Very low budget but better than I expected.

Just watched this. Don't know how I never saw it before. Really depressing and Meg Ryan's character was annoying AF, in a different way than usual. I usually don't watch Kiefer Sutherland (except in Freeway; that's a classic) but he was good in it too.

Just watched Marie & Bruce (2004). Weird movie. I love Julianne Moore and it was based on a play by Wallace Shawn who I love even more. If you like them or Matthew Broderick it's worth seeing.

I'm in the middle of watching a bunch of early Amanda Peet movies. They're all bad, some worse than others. This one, Origin Of The Species, has the bitchy niece from Uncle Buck, so there's that.

Now watching. Haven't seen this since it came out. It's just as funny as I remember. Kevin Kline's funniest movie IMO with the exception of Soapdish but since he's the obvious star of this one, it's his funniest.

Just watched Brewster McCloud. I'm embarrassed I'd never seen it, despite loving Bud Court in Harold and Maude and Houston being my hometown. I was 1 when it was filmed and the city and Astrodome are are much cleaner and nicer than when I was growing up. It's like Wes Anderson before Wes Anderson.

Morrissey is 67 today. He's not my very favorite artist, but I'm not sure of one that has affected my life more, aside from The Beach Boys. I discovered both at pivotal parts of my life and I sometimes wonder how different I'd be if I hadn't.
