if I’m dating someone and a friend thought it was funny to be this way towards a potential long term partner, they will not have the same access as before. Simply on principle.

Of all my past partners, only one actually stood up for me and put his friend in his place when he was trying to be slick. So when I notice someone doesn’t do this, I know exactly where I stand.

Thinking back on it I didn’t deserve that

Was speaking to my therapist about my desire to be married but if it doesn’t happen, I’m still proud of myself for how I hold myself up in life. She told me I still have to keep the belief & it will happen. I’m not sure if she truly understands the current gay dating landscape.

I deserve someone who loves themselves. When you love yourself, you know yourself & you’re unwavering in it. You’re kind & gentle with yourself. You will love another as deeply as you love yourself. I deserve to experience a love with so much depth, they become themselves again.

Self love is so important. When you come into contact with people & they witness how you love & honor yourself, it messes with them. It either brings up feelings of shame and they resent you for it or feelings of jealousy and they turn you into their enemy. You become a reflection of what could be.
