My late wife was something of an Indonesia expert, having done her Masters on Indonesian military politics. They have a very long history of playing the Russians and Yanks off against each other for goodies. And her standard response to invasion panic - "They don't have enough row boats."

Enjoy the first day home. I did a 9 week stint a few years ago and that first properly brewed cup of tea was heaven. Don't know how dicey things got for you, but it took me another few months to make the psychological switch from 'survived' to 'living'. It will happen.
