Wow, that looks like a heck of a stretch. Growth rates in sturgeon (juv. white here) are HIGHLY variable. If you took the smallest fish here and extrapolated it from the growth rate of the largest things would get a bit silly.
Sometimes the average is poor method to understand a distribution.
