This is psychosis. The president of the United States is psychotic. Is the media going to start talking about this, or continue to normalize it?

My town is 150 years old. A remarkable difference in comparison with the town I grew up in which was well over 200 when I was born.

That Bannon says that about Newsom should be the kiss of death for his nomination prospects. Definition of an acceptable nominee is someone who is Steve Bannon's worst nightmare.

Holy crap does the silver polish at the church smell rank. Admittedly I’ve never polished silver before, so idk if that is normal or not.

NEW: Last month, I flew to Kansas to speak with Rev. Adam Hamilton, the megachurch pastor running for Senate — as a Democrat. He talked to me about "progressive evangelicalism," and I talked to his congregants. And here's the thing: he has a real chance of winning. religionnews.com/2026/09/23/h...

How megapastor Adam Hamilton could break the GOP's hold on Kansas
LEAWOOD, Kansas (RNS) — While Democrats have long been considered a longshot for statewide races in Kansas, the Rev. Adam Hamilton's candidacy has proven unexpectedly competitive.

I would totally get more audio books from my local library through Libby, if they had them, but so many titles I look up are not available for my library. 😕

@dexanderson.com wanted to know ground beef prices since I live in MN CD6, which Emmer represents. Emmer is not available for his constituents. I couldn’t tell you the last time he had a legit town hall. I’m so glad he has a strong challenger in Doug Chapin!!

Tom Emmer recently said that ground beef was $2 a pound. When at a store yesterday the cheapest ground beef was over $4 a pound and most options were hovering within 50 cents of $8 a pound. Meanwhile gas is well over $4 a gallon. This is what we mean when we talk affordability.

Let us all remember. On September 11, 2001, when the United States closed its airspace, Canada stepped forward to help its closest neighbor. As flights were diverted away from the US, Canadian airports opened their runways. It is a powerful reminder of the friendship between the US and Canada.

It’s past time for Dems to step up in full support of trans kids, teens, and adults. This is why we need stronger statements of support from @amyklobuchar.com here in MN. If you don’t speak loudly in support of trans people we can’t trust you’ll have their backs.

It is reprehensible (imo) that there are bands and other groups out there that position their concerts and tours as worship and then charge people money for tickets. I understand if tickets are needed due to limited venue space, but the tickets should be free, never for sale.

This looks like not shopping or going out to eat or drink. We must live our sabbath in such a way that we impose the least upon the labor of others. (Understanding that some services, hospitals, care centers, emergency services, etc, must always be running for the common good.)

B. @bcentz.bsky.social · 06/09/2026
Labor Day is, ideally, an annual secular sabbath. It is truly a challenge for our individualistic society in that sabbath cannot be practiced alone. It is not enough for me to take a day without work, but rather I must live my day in such a way that others too might have a sabbath.

It’s sad to say that in the USA food access (grocery stores, co-ops, farmers markets, etc) isn’t treated like an infrastructure need or public good, let alone a human right. Access to food and clean water is a human right and should be treated as such. “But Lord, when did we see you hungry?…”

In July, a new ICE agent with a history of domestic violence and mental illness killed a man in Maine who even ICE admits posed no threat to him. Now we know that internal whistleblowers at ICE were sounding the alarm about the agency utterly disregarding normal hiring rules.
In the wake of a hiring surge last summer, an official in charge of evaluating new recruits to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a dire warning.

The Trump administration, he wrote in a memo, was cutting corners, violating the law and fast-tracking unqualified, “improperly vetted” candidates into ICE’s ranks, part of a dangerous move that exposed the agency — and its law enforcement operations — to “grave national security risks.”

Citing an “unprecedented lowering of standards,” the career ICE official said that “systemic breakdowns” had allowed applicants to receive job offers before they had passed basic fingerprint, identity or credit checks in a preliminary vetting process. Political appointees had unjustly skirted background investigations and received national security eligibility.

Fear should never be the driving force in becoming Christian, joining a church, or pursuing Christ. Gratitude, love, joy, peace, curiosity, these are the motivations that should drive one in following Jesus. Over & over again the greeting from heavenly visitors is “do not be afraid.” May it be.

Saw a FB post from a woman I knew in childhood. The post was calling out people for being upset about Trump renaming Lake Ontario, saying that liberals renamed a lot of things. The post didn’t mention that its list of examples all got renamed for reasons of racism, justice, & people first language.

It should go without saying but if America genuinely adored innovation, we'd rekindle union power, enforce antitrust laws, provide endless financial and tactical advantage to small business innovators, and dismantle corruption. We would not, as it turns out, worship false idols and the abject hollowness of feckless men.
