1997 1997 Tax rules are out of date Real estate tax exclusion is at $250,000 single person/married couple is $500,000. 2026 National average price is $502,700 Congress wrote these limits in 1997. It has not changed since then. This impacts the Medicare IRMAA too. It is time for a change! Congress?

Why? Your Social Security income is taxable when income tops $25,000 individually or $32,000 jointly. This was set by Ronald Reagan in 1984 Those thresholds aren’t indexed to prices or wages. As inflation causes SS and medicare to rise, retirees end up paying more on taxes and medicare Congress?

Trump the deficit Red dye oil is for off-road use like heating oil. It is exempt from the federal excise tax of 24.4¢ per gallon and state taxes of 35.5¢ per gallon. Who's going to cover that? Trump has no foresight. No Plan. Him letting trucks use heating oil is going to drive up the deficit.
