BBBBsWeimar @bbbbsweimar.bsky.social · 11/10/2026This was one of the things I dreaded over its long production, that the jokes would be dated by the time the game came out. Good thing they concentrated more on how the American Dreams has morphed 000

BBBBsWeimar @bbbbsweimar.bsky.social · 05/10/2026it down. -Tales of Heresy has a couple of interesting short stories. Obviously, read The Last Church. -Fallen Angels is two different DA stories taking place at the same time but unrelated to each other. Found it less interesting than Descent of Angels. NEXT ON MY LIST: A Thousand Sons 010
BBBBsWeimar @bbbbsweimar.bsky.social · 05/10/2026-Empire and Caliban. -Legion is great and has a very mixed and colorful army. "I am Alpharius." -Battle for the Abyss. Pointless, MEGA SKIP. -Mechanicum. I struggled here. The previous novel left me with a bad aftertaste and it made judge this book harsh at first. Once it got going, couldn't keep i 110
BBBBsWeimar @bbbbsweimar.bsky.social · 05/10/2026So far I've read the first 11 books of the Horus Heresy. -1 to 3 "I was there when Horus slew the Emperor." Must read -Flight of the Eisenstein was a bit slow but I liked it. -Fulgrim same but more F-ed up. Fulgrim's fall is fascinating. -Descent of Angels has a cool story of the Dark Angel's pre 120

BBBBsWeimar @bbbbsweimar.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I'm on book 10 of the Horus Heresy. Hit a bit of a snag for a few months after forcing myself to read Battle for the Abyss (SKIP IT, almosy ruined me run). Mechanicum had a slow start but picked up on the last third. BBBBsWeimar @bbbbsweimar.bsky.social · 12/09/2026The death of 2 PCs. It wasn't fun at the moment, but that storyline put a fire to my players' butts and they were so motivated for the next 5 sessions. But yeah, high level D&D is so much work for a DM 000
BBBBsWeimar @bbbbsweimar.bsky.social · 12/09/2026It came to a point where I would spend hours for a two or three statblocks. I love making statblocks but everything else of my prep would fall because of it. Funny enough, I overdid it with a statblock and my PCs didn't take a short rest before that boss fight. It lead to a slug that resulted in 100
BBBBsWeimar @bbbbsweimar.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I think this whole thread has what made me bounce off of my D&D campaign. After 10th level it becomes hard to threaten your PCs and they have so much power (and if you have a minmaxer like me it's worse) that you are either railroading them or have to do a ton of improv. 120
