Not to change the subject, but is this GIF supposed to be a joke that I don’t get? I’ve see this one used a few times and I don’t get the point of calling Ray Liotta in Goodfellows “Leonardo DeCaprio in Gatsby”. It’s distracting from the message and loses the point of why people use it for sarcasm.

I’m surprised they didn’t gerrymander to make minority residents in the Twin Cities get moved into some right wing Iron Range districts. You’d think based on this session Minnesota is primarily Trump country.

This will happen strictly because the agreement was made many years ago. The NFL has a handshake agreement with every state that uses tax money to upgrade stadiums. Spend half a billion to improve the stadium; get rewarded with the multiple millions made from hosting the Super Bowl.

I no longer get emotionally attached to the Timberwolves. I now watch with as much intensity as the players do when they play the Wizards and just assume they’ll have a 30 point lead by halftime. And after they lose, I just shrug my shoulders and say “they should have taken this game seriously.”

Which is why there won’t be paper ballots as backup while the GOP is in charge. There’s a reason Elon’s DOGE in the first few months wanted unsupervised access to all voting machines and voter rolls. They can’t hack and change votes with paper ballots.

The fact that he refers to our system of government as a democracy and not a republic shows that he no longer fits in with MAGA, and he was bound to be challenged and lose in the primary.

Kelsey Grammar is one of Hollywood’s most right wing backers (not James Woods level where he doubles as a social media influencer, but Grammar proudly supports Trump/MAGA). I’m sure he wasn’t fond of that episode when he first saw the script, then he saw his paycheck and that won him over.

Oregon State doesn’t have the funding given it was left out of the Power Four conferences, but Oregon would make sense with Phil Knight’s deep pockets. But as Michael Jordon said, defending not speaking up about racist North Carolina senator Jesse Helms in the 1980s: “Republicans buy sneakers too.”

That would have made sense before NIL entered college sports. But you can’t expect an 18 year old to give up a $3 million one-time contract to play at a Southern school for $400k to play elsewhere out of principle.

Corporate Board meeting: “Any thoughts on getting more productivity from the employees?” Answer: “How about making everyone burn up gas at $4.50 a gallon and spending one hour of unpaid time daily commuting to do the same work, but with managers watching over their shoulders to improve morale!”

This is just MAGA complaining that somehow white men don’t get enough opportunities to coach in the NFL due to one minority candidate also getting an interview.

Companies could help their employees by returning to hybrid or at home work, but they decided once Trump was elected that they don’t trust workers to do their jobs if they don’t show up in the office to do the same tasks they can do from home.

They tried in Virginia. VA State Supreme Court overturned what the voters approved. The Federal Supreme Court would never take this case, allowing the state SC decision to stand because the Federal SC only takes cases it can incorrectly favor for the Republican Party. But don’t call them political

I’ve been saying this for months. Not just for TN, everywhere. Gerrymandering doesn’t create new voters, it just redistributes the voters across districts. The margin to hold onto seats diminishes as “safe” districts are now in play. This can (hopefully will) backfire for the GOP.

Just to associate sports columnists who just speculate unreported or unverified rumors as “journalism”. Walters almost never attends sporting events, interviews sources, or check to see if rumors have any factual basis. He even writes that his source is often what “a little birdie” told him.

Host nit? Like the low level college basketball tournament that doesn’t have a centralized location? Outdoors in January? The draft is in April and Vikings play indoors, so this makes no sense. Plus Green Bay hosted it last year and that was outdoors. That didn’t impact the draft at all.

And that’s based on normal times. The party is unpopular overall, the economy is bad, and we’ve started multiple wars/military conflicts. The president’s party usually takes a beating in midterm elections; would think this year even more.
