Is this the best line reading in all of gaming?

Thank you very much! That gif is absolutely magical

Standard infinite post Big thanks to Hypercube Rush and the free cubes in limited events - lovely that those who play more casually like me can still often hit infinite. Used mainly Thanos - it's just the most straightforward by far, which matters in a grindy endeavour #MarvelSnap Marvel Snap

It's taken over 150 of your earth hours, but the Last Defense Academy story is finally complete. As a big Danganronpa fan, I had high expectations and, overall, it was a fabulous experience. I have some more complicated thoughts, but they deserve more time and therefore a separate thread.

21) Red Dead Redemption 2 I decided to give this another go, after bouncing off the clunky controls, and I'm so glad I did. The world is an absolute joy to exist in, and Arthur is the perfect pair of eyes through which to witness it. I'm in chapter 3 with 40 hours already - says it all really!

Is this the best smash cut in all of gaming?

000

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Ah, I see what you mean =( did you manage to find that special spark in anything else at the time instead?

100

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

That's fair, and sadly that'll just happen - not everything can be for everyone =(

100

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Absolutely doing the same here - I've bounced off it previously, but I do want to try and really get on board with a games company being so very generous in these current times!

110

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

I get you completely! I definitely have games in genres that I don't normally gel with, but the individual game just drew me in anyway!

000

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

And that's infinite again for this casual player - Hypercube Rush is one of the absolute best things to have happened for the morale of player in my opinion! Here's a few decks I used - the Wiccan list the most recent and honestly, feels the most cracked ♥️ #MarvelSnap Marvel Snap

20) Mortal Shell God, I so wanted to like this. And I tried. Everything feels just a little bit off. Dodging feels weird in the hand, the "hardening" mechanic doesn't compute with my brain, the fact you have to use items to know their effect in an already difficult genre. Just not for me.

When doing a B I G C L E A N turns up some absolute treasure ♥️ I honestly can't believe it still works after being off for over a decade!

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

I'll bump it up the list then! =)

110

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Ohhhh I keep meaning to get around to this! I take it it's a massive recommendation then? If only Last Academy Defense wasn't so long...

Doing a B I G C L E A N and came across these playmats from my YGO! days 😍 This is the exact reason I got my opponents in tournaments to sign my mats - so I could see them 15 years later and smile at the memories forged. Literally any new person I faced, I asked for them to sign the mat ❤️

Thinking about this for the new Thanos and Jane - low curve to allow cards to easily be quickdrawn, whilst having a decent points package. Also thinking of the small-ball move package (batroc, kraken, cap, silk, etc) for similar reasons! #MarvelSnap Marvel Snap

Early thoughts on Sinister Six. There's always going to be value in being able to drop 26+ in a location so freely. The real challenge is cracking the deck building code to also win elsewhere. I've faith that the code will be cracked. #MarvelSnap Marvel Snap

I've yet to play this, but I'm already rooting for Cold Symmetry - what a lovely mini art book they've included 😍 Bought on the strength of the sequel demo showed in @ironpineapple.bsky.social latest video - thought I'd tackle the original before supporting the sequel upon release!

000

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

19) Final Fantasy XVI As with all the FF I've played this far, I'm immensely enjoying this. I love just how over the top everything gets - it's "anime bullshit" in a complete non-derogatory way. What Resident Evil does to zombie horror, this does to medieval fantasy, if that makes sense.

110

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Thank you very much! =D Funny thing is, I didn't like Luke as it was - I'm not a fan of having one card that can shut down an entire deck with no effort, as it stops other similar tech being made. Why release something that is a worse version of old Luke, right? And we're paying for it now!

010

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Jesus Christ, I actually did Infinite this season as a filthy casual o.o Main decks I used are listed, but let's face it, the current meta just all about the big bad Scorpion. You either run affliction, or build to beat them. Afflict deck from @gregor2424.bsky.social 😍 #MarvelSnap

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

18) Children of Morta Still early on, but it's a tough one to judge. On one hand, the pixel art is beautiful...but then they start you in one of the most boring cave environments there is. It feels good in the hand overall, but also a step slower than you'd want from the genre. It's...mixed.

100

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

A small refinement - it may not reach the heights of the Skaar builds, but it's more consistent in just laying that power down. Not tier one by any means, but it's better than anything else my brain could cook up. #MarvelSnap Marvel Snap

000

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

17) Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning It's so refreshing to see a fantasy that isn't scared to be fantastical. Forget grim-dark, this throws colours and whimsical notes in your sense holes whilst you play out your power fantasies. "Of it's time" in it's overall design, but that's not a bad thing.

Honestly having a lot of fun with Tarantula - it's absolutely not an essential card, I wouldn't go out of your way to grab it if resources are tight, but it really felt great in "what if I just played stats?" decks #MarvelSnap Marvel Snap

I think I'll be migrating to PC by the time this goes around. Whilst PC is also primarily digital media too, there are multiple storefronts to keep competition alive, as well as a huge community that champions game preservation.

000

BaymaxPower @baymaxpower.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

We need to scream about this. This ensures the death of second hand gaming, as well as completely monopolising PS gaming - Sony controls the price completely, there's no shopping around for better prices. However they dress this up, this is complete anti-consumer bullshit and we need to be vocal
