bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 13/10/2026I think that's because people assume "local" in any context reduces security risks generally. So it's like "hey even this mode that you think is lower risk still has this key vulnerability" 100
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 12/10/2026ok I was taking it in the context of Lauren's post which is specifically about prompt injection risk 100
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 12/10/2026so the distinction between local inference and a local harness is immaterial to the risk of prompt injection 100
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 12/10/2026The utility of these agents people keep sharing seems wildly out of sync with how much access they are giving the agents. Yes give an LLM access to your entire system, your email, your calendar, all so it can... make to-do lists and send you reminders? Huge security vulnerabilities for jack-shit. 000
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Prompt injection risk is about model access. I can run a local inference model that is only a chat window and does not have read or write access to any of my files, nor email etc. That has no risk of prompt injection. But if I set up a local agent that can read my email, there is the injection risk. 260

bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 10/10/2026This. I’d also rather they try stuff like smaller gloves before regulating outfield positioning. 110
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 10/10/2026tried to rush through the end of the most popular show on tv so he could make Star Wars but fucked it up so bad he didn't get to make Star Wars OR his weird alt-history about the Confederacy 170
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 09/10/2026not sure how that's relevant to the conversation here but good for him 000
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Winning MotY in his first season would seem to contradict the claim that he was “meh” at first. 100
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 08/10/2026His own players would run through a wall for him and it seems that’s what’s most important no? This win put him ahead of Tony La Russa for second most postseason games won, with 72. Only Joe Torre (84) remains. 000
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Yankee fans clearly need additional punishment for this shit because they keep doing it. Call it an out if the fielder is anywhere near the ball. 060
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 08/10/2026love ya Tyler but 5 walks in less than 5 innings is gonna have consequences 020
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I’m aware, but more broadly it’s the other thing which is very on-the-nose in this context 110
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Rick Monday is 80 years old and most famous for "saving" an American Flag from being burned by an American Indian father-son pair protesting their wife/mother's treatment by the government. So yeah that tracks. 140
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 07/10/2026He trusts his guys long after anyone else would, which is infuriating to watch but it is why they would all run through a wall for him 0101
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I had to go check if this is in Frank Herbert's original 6 books or if it's part of his son's bad fanfiction, and regretfully it is in the last Frank book. 050
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Seems a bit silly that there’s any surface a ball can hit and then still be caught for an out. 010
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I just think it’s silly that there’s any surface a ball can hit and then still be caught for an out. When a ball hits the wall and is caught it’s live, not an out. Roof shouldn’t be different. 000

bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 02/10/2026not everyone can transform themselves into a plus shortstop in their 30's like Mookie Betts 030
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 02/10/2026It's just a correlation between Wins and payroll, did not look at postseason berths or postseason results. There's too much noise in those latter things. 010
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I think it’s important that owners have incentive to spend on players. We already see how weak that incentive is and how bad its absence can be for the game with owners like Nutting and Monfort. 000
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I think that’s a good amount on balance. We don’t want zero correlation, owners should have incentive to spend. But it’s also not the dominant factor. As we can see, there are bad high-spenders (Mets) and good low-spenders (TB, MIL, CLE) 100
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Do you think either of those teams are well run these days? 100
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 01/10/2026This has been studied systematically at Fangraphs and elsewhere. The correlation btwn payroll and wins is about 25-35%, meaning about 1/3rd of a team’s success in a given year can be attributed to payroll. The rest is other factors. 210
bawfuls @bawfuls.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Payroll is not the reason the Giants and Rockies are bad 100
