The second one is so real though lol. I keep asking “Is this burnout, midlife crisis, or healthy, actually??”

All I want to consume on Instagram are mom/parent stories now, I guess, so that’s something! It’s the full spectrum of incredible to awful and all I want to do is talk about it too!!

I’m in Denver for work & decided to go to Casa Bonita while here & as SOON as I was checking in my husband called/sent photos of our daughter COVERED in a rash. Trying to check in as a solo diner at the Disneyland of Mexican restaurants while trying to contact a pediatrician is surreal.

Constantly in conflict of wanting to be a cool middle aged millenial who pretends they don’t have kids and actually being a mom that mostly wants to talk about her child all of the time because she is what I spend all of my time and energy on.

Yeah, I wonder too! I do think sometimes audiences see things and think “Huh, that looks a little weird” but don’t have enough of an understanding of the craft to know why. Im sure some probably don’t notice at all!

I truly, TRULY love that studios are not married to making all animated movies look as realistic as possible anymore, but I think the balance of making CG projects look GOOD in a 2.5D style is still really hard. So often it ends up looking really cheap. Regular 2D animation often looks better!

I’m going full midlife crisis mode—I dyed my hair purple (and put glitter extensions in it), I’m applying for MFA programs, I think I’m gonna re-pierce my nose… I also actually feel incredibly hopeful about all of this? We’re all gonna die and our bodies are decaying so do whatever you want!!

My college is giving all faculty and students voting day off from classes, and that's incredible. I wish all work places would follow suit.

Romantic texts with my husband while he is away on a work trip.

There is a text that includes a photo of Hank Hill holding the keyblade. Text response 1 reads “They should add Houston to the new Kingdom Hearts .”

My daughter only recently started becoming truly aware of her surroundings. Now that the days are getting shorter, I realize that she didn’t know that it gets dark outside at night. She kept pointing to the sky and saying, “UH OH!! UH OH!!!!”

I've become a professional meme maker. Making marketing art for Angry Birds 3 is one of the wackiest gigs I've had, but I'm having a blast!

A parody poster of the "Resident Evil" movie. At the top of the image reads "From the Mind of Zach EGGer", in the middle of the poster reads "Resident Eagle, Exclusively in Movie Theaters December 23rd. Filmed for Flymax." An eagle wearing a backpack stands on a snowy street looking out upon burning, abandoned cars.

A parody image of the Dune movie poster. A red bird with glowing blue eyes stares directly into the camera. The poster reads "WORDS ACROSS MY FACE, Angry Birds Part Three, Filmed for Flymax, 12.23.26"

You are stronger than me. I haven’t been able to watch past season 1 of this show as an American because it started to feel too plausible 🥲

I remember during the actor's strike I was driving through Hollywood with a friend and saw her on the back of a convertible shooting *something* during the Actor's strike, and wonder if she has an internalized fear of running out of money? She's talked really publicly about adjacent ideas before.

Betsy Bauer @bauerpower.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Totally agree! I loved her in White Lotus and the first couple seasons of Euphoria. It feels like a waste for her to brand herself exclusively as a sex symbol.

I'm so tired of news stories about Sydney Sweeney's boobs. They're nice. Good for her. Glad she's making money with the resources she has. Her politics probably suck. Aren't there more important things to talk about?

I am usually a person who shows up to the airport 2 hours before any flight. Unless it's a red eye, in which case for some reason, I always show up like 5 hours early.

Anyone who has access to serious wealth should look to Dolly Parton as an example. Thinking specifically of another extremely successful blonde pop artist who is in the billionaire level of wealth and claims to be doing feminist work 👀

Dolly Parton, among a thousand other amazing things she did in her life, gifted over 330 million books to kids through her Imagination Library program. Her passing is a tremendous loss to the world, but you can support the program today to keep it going imaginationlibrary.com

I continually hear that sci-fi is a difficult genre to sell in the graphic novel space, which makes me so sad. Sci-fi is definitely my favorite genre, and I wonder if there are more girls/women/nbs out there who enjoy that genre than mainstream publishing are willing to give credit to?

This mask is excellent, and year-round-Christmas solidarity. We have a Christmas Minion (originally purchased ironically) that basically just lives by our front door now and is slowly fading in the sun because we have nowhere else to put him.

Oh yeah, I have a policy where I let students resubmit an assignment after they get feedback so long as they initially submitted by the deadline!

My toxic trait as an instructor is that I think grades are very dumb (and unfortunately necessary for most accrediation). I want every former and future student to know that I wish I didn't have to grade anything -- they are arbitrary and don't necessarily indicate anything about your future!

Yes, that's a LOT to front for a beach day. Maybe someday we'll get state/government subsidies to make these kinds of things more affordable 🥲

AGREED. Althouuuugh did you know you can take the Surfliner to Carpinteria and it drops you off directly on the beach? I think the secret may be going North rather than South! (Though I know this isn't the Metro so we don't get all of the great Metral deals!)

A very LA-specific gripe: There should be a train that goes to Palm Springs. (Maybe this will happen when that train to Vegas finally happens???)
