2am and I’m writing in the quiet of the night. It is my favorite time to write, because I can focus strictly on my writing (when my cats aren’t helping me type, haha!)

Been gone for awhile (had a baby!🖤) But now I’m back and back to writing!!! Should have my first draft finished by end of year if I continue the way I’ve been going!!! #aspiringauthor

My husband and I went to the doctor last week for our annual check ups and inquired about the flu vaccines. Last week, we were told they hadn't gotten the new vaccines in yet. 🥴 Well, today we're on day 3 of being sick, and just got a text from our doc saying the vaccines came in! 😅

Picked up my procreate for the first time in a while. Decided to start trying to draw my Re-imagining of Violet's first encounter with Andarna and Tairn from #FourthWing. Obviously a WIP... I still have to add Tairn and color, but I think it's coming along #booksky #digitart #fanart 💙📚

I need my fellow writers, authors, and readers to comment and yell at me to write. ☠️🤦‍♀️ I've been in a slump and have not been upkeeping my goals, and just can't seem to make myself sit and write like I used to. #booktok #futureauthor #writer #reader 💙📚

Never be afraid to write your heart out. To write your ass off. To write until your hands cramp. Because when you look back at the miles of ink behind you you might just have a masterpiece.

If you've done much research into the "art" of the query letter, you may have noticed many (often conflicting) recommendations. However, if you look at some successful query samples, you’ll find many of them break a “rule” or two. A thread 🧵🪓 #writingcommunity #amquerying

To be more specific, I have absolutely no intention of changing the identity of said NB character. It is a big part of that character and the book itself. I'm wanting to try to go the traditional route but if my characters identity is a problem I'll just go self pub.

Ami K. @batty4books.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

So anyone who knows me knows I am working on my first Novel. In said novel, one of the main characters is nonbinary. With the most recent bigoted executive order regarding gender, does anyone know if this would potentially cause a problem trying to go the traditional publishing route? (1)
