🇨🇦 youtu.be/a_y7eaGt18M The Canadian Army is reorganizing their divisions to create one fully focused on warfighting. Check out my video on how they'll be structured.

I tested out a record request on wdarchives.com. It did take 3 months but also didn’t cost anything above the $10/mo subscription and they provided more TO&E editions than the single one I stated as my priority

My concept for a New York Red Guardsman at the start of the 2nd American Civil War (1937) in Kaiserreich, based on Harlem's Hellfighters (15th Infantry, New York NG before WW1).

Crazy that Youtube's new way of counting views (counting the moment the video starts playing) has resulted in a 3 times view count inflation over the original method (now displayed as "Engaged Views" in the back-end). This has turned a normally 10 of 10 video into a 1 of 10

The testers were quite fond of the T1E1 light tank, but stated the Mark VIII heavy tank was tactically useless for a highly mobile division due to being rail-bound for strategical movements. Its slow movement would also be awkward if interdicted by artillery.

🇺🇸 In 1928 the US Army formed its first Experimental Mechanized Force inspired by the British. It was a combined arms unit including infantry and engineers motorized on Liberty trucks, a couple of self-propelled guns, cavalry armored cars and infantry tanks.

🇺🇸 The US Marine Parachute Battalion Demolition Squad as of the 1942 T/O. Unlike the US Army, which had 1 Demolition Platoon per Parachute Regiment with 1 section per battalion, the Marines gave a whole platoon to each battalion in theory.

The squad has organic Drivers to drive the VTLM Lince. When they are doing light infantry stuff, like an air assault, they just act as Riflemen. Cold weather all-terrain vehicles are crewed externally from a support unit

Idea for Kaiserreich (fiction): New York National Guardsman (New England). It uses pre-1917 division designations & assumes state regimental designations are maintained as the US didn't enter in WW1. Anglo-Canadians prop up New England, so he has pouches for Lewis gun pans

If they want to abandon our allies they should just say it instead of using LinkedIn speak like "rightsize", a corpo euphemism for "layoff 5,000 employees for no real reason other than short-term greed"
From US European Command's Twitter: @DeptofWar
officials notified Allies the U.S. would rightsize its contributions to the @NATO Force Model, consistent with the burden sharing direction in the 2026 National Defense Strategy and the Department’s vision for a “NATO 3.0.”

🇺🇸 When you want to be the linchpin of the Pacific but he hits you with that MacArthur stare. This was the test Rifle Squads of these Divs in early 1944: 10th Light (Pack, Alpine), 71st Light (Pack, Jungle) and 89th Light (Truck). A unique aspect was mission dependent weapons

Compare to what was spelled out in the 1967 infantry platoon pam. The F1 SMG wasn't used in this role in Vietnam as they had the M16, but it was initially the logical successor to the Owen Machine Carbine

Following combat experience in North Africa, the U.S. Army made minor updates to its Rifle Platoons. The July 1943 update is when Basic Privates were moved to the Company HQ, the M1903A4 sniper rifle was made a platoon weapon, and Bazookas were added to supplement the Grenadiers

Battle Order @battleorder.org · 17/04/2026
After the US entered World War II, the Army updated its Rifle Platoons to an organization that would only see minor updates throughout the war. They went back to an organic BAR in the squad, plus an M1903 for grenade launching before the M7 launcher for the Garand was adopted.
