The final talk of @batconservation.bsky.social #NatBatConf was on impact of anthropogenic noise on bats by Camilia Soravia. Importantly considering the impact on roosting bats, alongside the combined impacts of artificial light as well. Read the paper at: www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

Last weekend, Lucy Morison and Dr Camilla Soravia presented early findings from our research at #NatBatConf 2026! Camilla showed that lesser horseshoe bats' in-roost behaviour changes with noise, while Lucy linked human disturbance to stress hormones, with implications for bat conservation. #bats

Interested in how light and noise pollution impact the behaviour of bats? In this review we summarise what is known and where we now need to target research, so that conservation interventions are effective and bat populations can fluorish 🦇 www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

🦇 Bats make up nearly 25% of all mammal species — but tracking the tiniest ones is still a tech challenge. In our latest blog, Dr Mostafa Awaid explores how smart wearable devices could change that. 🔗 Read more: batmanlab.wixsite.com/batman/blog #WildlifeTech #Ecology #BatResearch #Conservation
