Lan Zhan is almost ready to give up anything so that his love can return, but all he gets are sharp words and caged smiles.
All he wants to do is take away Wei Ying and make sure that he is safe-safe from himself, safe from the cultivation world that breathes down his neck, ready to pounce on him like starved juvenile animals.

Steve held the Coca Cola to his bleeding and
swollen eye, seemingly swaying slightly as Carol and Tommy laughed and made fun of Nancy and
Jonathan. He didn’t hear anything that they said, head aching now as he was bombarded with…with what? Memories? Visions? A past he hadn’t
previously known about but was now remembering?

"Oh, forgive me, your majesty," Buggy snapped, though the bite in his tone lacked any real venom.
He stood up and paced toward the hearth, driven by a restless energy he could never quite shake when the three of them were confined like this. "Excuse me for getting antsy while the world outside is freezing over and I'm trapped with a human glacier and a living sandbox."

Evening came like a quilt being draped over the world cozily, paired with a soothing sigh of wind. The blue from the screen highlighted the
sharpness of his jaw, the shadows carving out the edges, white lens bearing into the empty space where nature meets man-made structures. He always appears untouchable in his turf, confident in his abilities and intelligence; it’s easy to forget how fragile Batman can be.
