As the weeks bled into one another, slowly crawling into months, Stephanie's frustration curdled into volatile anger. The edge she'd lost on patrol sharpened into a tongue of pure acid that she used on anyone and everyone. She snapped at Oracle over the comms, questioning intel she would have once trusted implicitly.

"Are you sure about that, Babs? Or are you just guessing tonight?"

The silence that followed was heavy and judgmental."

The Not Now, Kitten… charity zine is officially open for pre-orders! @batfamproblematic.bsky.social It's been an absolute honor to be part of this project. Here's a sneak peek at my contribution for the SFW volume. 💜 Is it any surprise I've written Brudick? notnowkitten.bigcartel.com

Not Not Kitten Preview of fanfic. Safe for work.
Bruce felt disappointment settle in his gut until he made eye contact with Dick in the crowd, who was already looking up at him, smiling.
He hadn't considered that Dick knew he was there all along. Each of them keeping an eye out for the other. Like always.
Bruce moved towards the stairs and Dick met him halfway, the smile on his face, even without a show of any teeth, seemed to glow with warmth.
"Hi, Bruce. Funny running into you here."
I missed you. Dick tried to communicate without saying the words.
Bruce received it loud and clear.

Not Now, Kitten... fanfiction preview.
"Little bird seems to be content and happy to chill in silence, moving his fingers and limbs now and then to expel excess energy. The silence is a comfortable blanket — Jason vaguely wonders where the other inhabitants are — when Dick looks up at him and says the words that will haunt Jason for years:

“You’re mine.” The words hit Jason like a brick, but not in a bad way. The words - a warm, sticky, gooey feeling - slide down from his shoulders to his back, his chest, before they settle in his stomach."
