iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

This quote from Dr. Manhattan just sticks with me: "I've walked across the sun. I've seen events so tiny and so fast they hardly can be said to have occurred at all, but you....You are a man. ...And this World's smartest man means no more to me than its smartest termite."

Thinking that he has destroyed Dr. Manhattan, Ozymandias explains his horrific plan to the other super heroes. Suddenly, Dr. Manhattan crashes through as a giant. He says it was silly of Ozymandias to think vaporizing him down to atoms was going to destroy him.

Ozymandias executes a terrible disaster to manipulate world politics. Dr. Manhattan who is a super intelligent God like being arrives to stop him. Ozymandias basically vaporizes Dr. Manhattan into pieces.

So thinking about AI Superintelligence and trying to stop it after the fact made me think of the end of "Watchmen" by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. (Spoilers ahead in case you haven't read it yet)

This stage of the AI push reminds me of peak cryptocurrency, which was supposed to change everything. I was never afraid of blockchain the technology, I was afraid of the people behind it, and their vision for the future.

Do you know how hard it is to get Coltrane to play slower? Just ask David Crosby. youtube.com/shorts/_U-OU...

A jazz blogger said that early in his jazz journey this album was "Kind of Boring". I agreed with this. It felt so slow and measured. Then years later, it has dawned on me that this is a work of genius. The band he put together for these sessions is a tremendous group of all stars.

Sad to hear the Saxophone Colossus, Sonny Rollins, has left us at the age of 95. I really enjoyed his music. This one is a favorite for me. youtu.be/fdakJqKPRDE?...

I wonder if Oscar Cluff could and would come back? He fought hard tonight on the boards against Arizona.

It's disappointing to not make a final 4, but still a successful season for Purdue basketball. Thank you Braden, Fletch, and TKR. Loved watching those guys play these past 4 years.

Koa Peat is very similar to Cam Boozer. Maybe shoots less threes, but pretty close.

000

Koa Peat is just relentless. He misses or gets blocked and gets the easy put back.

000

Hahaha, not addictive. Riiiiigggghhhht!

000

If Michigan wins it all, they will have earned it. Most likely have to go through Arizona and Duke to get it.

000

Looks like Michigan and Illinois are strolling into the Final Four. If Purdue loses, at least Arizona vs Michigan will be a fun matchup.

000

Carson Cooper really developed into a nice player with Izzo's coaching. He was a force this year.

Also what an effort by Michigan State basketball today. They were left for dead early by UCONN. Almost came back to win it
