I've got the day off today (and gigs friday and Saturday, rehearsal on Sunday, two concurrent orchestra weeks next week, plus a church gig too) and everything is moved out of the old apartment FINALLY... it's raining all day... is it OK if I just hide him my cozy basement cave and play video games?

Oh my gosh guys, I think the ducks might be coming back

A pair of Mallard ducks check out the duck nest outside our living room window from last year. We live in a garden-level apartment, and there's a little alcove outside the living room window- two out of the last three springs, a duck as nested and successfully hatched a brood of ducklings, and I really hope they settle there again this year, it's so cute.

Today's pizza photo diary- I've got the dough stretched out and ready to go- I'll get it topped once I know my wife is on her way home. With my limited dough-making skills, I made a no-knead dough, with about 65% hydration.

Pizza dough, stretched out onto a 16" inch pizza pan. This is about a 510g dough ball, so it's stretched out pretty thin. I'm not very good at this, so the dough thickness isn't as even as I'd like, but no big deal.
