'Certainly'? Do they? 🤔 'Historically'? Comparing a newish party to old parties? Fairly meaningless. 🤷🏼‍♀️
“They certainly see this as a way of making British politics fairer. If we zoom out, Reform historically has had very few donations compared to the mainstream political parties,” she added.

But not all oranges, right? 😉
Trump in an enhanced version of a well-known photo of him walking to his helicopter. The wind is blowing his hair back off his face, and there is a stark difference between his orange made-up face and the (natural) very white skin around his hair-line!

The usual links to *foreign* hard RW Christian Nationalist organisations, include the Heritage Foundation (through the Edmund Burke Foundation) who use Trump to push the evil 'Project 2025' in the US. You know, mass deportations, giving women's votes to their husbands/fathers, etc. Grim.
Alongside his University position and role at Reform UK, Orr has held a number of other positions, including at the Edmund Burke Foundation, the Free Speech Union, and the Centre for a Better Britain.

He is also a faculty contributor to Jordan Peterson’s Peterson Academy, an unaccredited online education program, and a fellow at the private Ralston College in Georgia.Orr has also developed a Cambridge-based network of conservative political and intellectual organisations.

He is a director of the Roger Scruton Legacy Foundation, which seeks to advance the legacy of conservative philosopher Sir Roger Scruton, who died in 2020.

The foundation has received £512,500 from the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC), a Hungarian private education institution with close ties to Viktor Orbán’s government. The Roger Scruton Legacy Foundation in turn funds the Cambridge Scruton Society, which was founded by two of Orr’s postgraduate students.

Alt-text descriptions included on these images. Absolutely definitely not tongue-in-cheek, oh dear me, no. 🤨
A crowd of (probably) fighting-age men are waddling along or milling round near a road, hoping to impress nearby drivers. In adorable matching black hoodies & trousers, accentuated by the balaclavas hiding their brave little faces (designed by Fascion for Fascists), they look like a colony of understated penguins, invading England. The image seems to show a message daubed in paint on an outside concrete floor.
It says, "Blood is on your," but the next word is not shown!

'Billionaire selfish with his money' shocker! Expresses sympathy with Henry Ford, whose money, I presume, is NOT furthering his ideology. Yes, Henry Ford the antisemite, *that* Henry Ford.
"So far, I've just been like 'I'm not going to do that.' My fear is that it just gets captured by some ideology and I lose control over it," he said. "If you look at the Ford Foundation, I think Henry Ford would be turning over in his grave if he knew what they were up to."

The Centre for a Better Britain?! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Ah, thought as much... In an article from July '25, we learn about this new propaganda tool... um, I mean, highly credible think tank... www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
A new *pro-Reform* UK think tank, the Centre for a Better Britain (CBB), was launched earlier this year by Reform's former chief operating officer Jonathan Brown and *two of the party's biggest donors.*

James Orr, an associate professor of philosophy of religion at Cambridge University, and *a friend of US Vice President JD Vance*, was appointed chairman of its advisory board.Mr Orr is a leading figure in the *"national conservativism"* movement, and says his new think tank will be driven by a *"post-Brexit, pro-nation, pro-sovereignty, pro-Britain* impulse and framework".

The BBC, headed & guided by Right Wing supporters & ideologues for at least 15 years, has dictated the emphasis in the Newsroom & now openly states they're centring Reform UK supporters, while at least 1 study showed pro-Israel bias in language & coverage. Here, their islamophobia is exposed:
Excerpt from the article:

Analysis of two arson incidents in the same period reveals the disparity in stark terms. When Hatzola ambulances were torched in Golders Green, the story generated multiple BBC national articles, a live blog, statements from the prime minister and health secretary, seven video shorts, and over 300 online mentions across the media.

At the same time, arrests were made in connection with the Peacehaven Mosque arson attack in Sussex, which was carried out by two masked individuals who poured accelerant on the mosque entrance and ignited it while worshippers were still inside.

The incident received a single BBC local report and 64 wider media mentions. Same category of crime, profoundly different editorial weight.

Very odd response Hannah, I don't support this iteration of Labour and think Starmer has done very little right and alot wrong, especially the anti-disabled and anti-immigrant talk/policies.

Yep. A full stop after 'beyond that' would work, too.
Supporters of Reform UK often complain that opponents label them racists or bigots. But the populist party's electoral appeal *has expanded beyond that of* leader Nigel Farage's previous pro-Brexit outfits. Its voters come from different valks of life and they hold eclectic views.

Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle to move as an amendment to the above motion,
From the Order paper for 27 April 2026
This type of business sits within the Delegated Legislation category.

Summary
Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle to move, as an amendment to the above motion, to leave out all the words after "that" and insert "this House declines to approve the draft Regulations laid before the House on 24 February, as they grant the Health and Safety Executive powers to selectively adopt hazard classifications from foreign jurisdictions with limited accountability; fail to incorporate new European Union hazard classifications in line with government commitments on Northern Ireland; regress from environmental and public health protections retained in law post Brexit, thus extending the approval of harmful biocides; and make it easier for UK exporters of harmful chemicals to bypass controls."

Freshwater Strategy pollsters (who claim 'We shape opinion') seem to favour RW parties here & abroad. One founder, election strategist Michael Tucker, writes for The Adam Smith Institute, a dark-money RW 'think tank' lobbying for low taxes & de-regulation. 👀 www.ceotodaymagazine.com/2025/08/fres...
'Australia's political polling industry faced one of its most significant credibility crises in 2025 when Freshwater Strategy's dramatic miscalculations during the federal election left the Liberal Party stunned and questioning the reliability of modern polling methods. The polling firm, which received approximately $1.5 million from the Liberal Party, continued to predict seat gains for Peter Dutton's team even on election day, whilst publicly available data suggested otherwise.'

What a disgraceful way to treat people, upending their lives with no route for appeal, while also putting Universities in financial turmoil. Seemingly, callous disregard for 'foreigners' is the point, these days. 😢 😠
Spurious Home Office decisions rejecting student visas are threatening universities' ability to enrol young people from abroad, it is claimed.

New rules come into effect in June that will punish universities if more than 4% of study visas are rejected by the Home Office.

However, the changes coincide with a marked increase in the numbers of visas being refused by the Home Office on spurious and inaccurate grounds, according to research by universities that has been shared with The Times. Neither students nor universities are able to challenge the decisions, which are often taken months after a university has accepted the applicant and in some cases just days before they are due to start studying.

Even if you didn't care about the grotesque cruelty to living animals in intensive factory farming techniques, surely we all care about the toxic effect on our rivers and air. Take note, the plea to call such farming “critical national infrastructure” will mean no protests are allowed near it!
Communities Against Factory Farming has said the proposed planning regime “risks embedding decades of industrial livestock land use in rural and green belt locations without adequate scrutiny”.

Maya Pardo, the lead campaigner for the group, said: “By directing decisionmakers to give ‘substantial weight’ to the economic benefits of livestock intensification, the proposal will effectively give a green light to megafarm expansion, despite well-documented damage to rivers, air quality and rural communities.”He added the sector had to balance welfare with environmental impact and food security, saying that failing to support domestic production could lead to more imports. The BPC has also called for food production to be considered “critical national infrastructure”.

But Prof Paul Behrens, an expert in food systems at the University of Oxford, said the food security case for intensive poultry was “illusory” because the sector “depends on imports for feed and vitamins, while making us more vulnerable to disease outbreaks like avian flu”.

The poultry sector’s planning difficulties are largely driven by organised opposition, including local people, who often raise concerns over water pollution, air quality and the climate crisis.

Agriculture is the leading cause of water pollution in the UK. The Environment Agency estimated last year that it accounts for 70% of nitrate pollution and 25-30% of phosphorus pollution. Runoff from intensive poultry units is one contributor to that wider pollution burden.Public Order Bill which infringed on our protest rights, enacted in May 2023:

'Introducing a new offence of interference with key national infrastructure
This offence covers any behaviour which prevents or significantly delays the operation of key infrastructure, including airports, railways, printing presses and downstream oil and gas infrastructure.

This offence will attract a maximum penalty of 12 months’ imprisonment, an unlimited fine, or both.'

Andrea's condition causes severe pain and can be life-threatening. Her surgery to remove the large ovarian cyst was stopped, along with prescribed meds. She is left in pain & in danger. But denial of medical care seems to be a policy, to coerce detainees to agree to be deported! This is sinister!
Excerpt from the article:

'Instead of medical care, ICE has offered her another solution: self-deport. Every two or three days, she says, ICE officials enter their room to ask people to sign forms agreeing to voluntary removal.

Many have taken it, including a man from Minnesota whose lawyer said he only agreed because he was being denied medication for his diabetes.'Excerpt from the article:

'But that’s at odds with what Pedro-Francisco says she’s receiving. She said she went days without even Tylenol to dull the unbearable pain, and then about a week ago also started receiving a prescription, though she’s unsure what it’s called.

Pedro-Francisco said she was also recently examined by a man in the detention center who conducted an ultrasound. He told her she didn’t have anything and gave her two pills to go to the bathroom, but she doesn’t trust anybody in the facility. She’s requested the man’s name and records of her treatment in detention to show her lawyers but has not received either.'

Centurion and Naphcare are accused of *forced inductions* of pregnant women and inhumane treatment. The way the women are treated is dehumanising and cruel. In one example...
Burnside says a correctional officer at Perryville then threatened to shackle her and keep her in restraints during the birth if she refused to be induced again. Such treatment of pregnant women is explicitly prohibited by state law.Upon her return to Perryville, Burnside said she was kept in a dirty cell in the reception unit of the prison and not allowed to shower for four days. “I sat bleeding without pads for hours at a time after having an 8-pound child and being stitched up,” she said.

She said the experience has left her with lasting psychological damage.

Originally from Glenmore, C Kilkenny, Seamus Culleton is married to a US citizen and owns a plastering business in the Boston area. He was arrested on September 9th, 2025, and has been in an Ice detention facility in Texas for nearly five months, despite having no criminal record, "not
even a parking ticket". In a phone interview from the facility, he said conditions there are "like a concentration camp, absolute hell".

Culleton said he was carrying a Massachusetts driving licence and a valid work permit issued by the US government when he was pulled over by Ice on the way home from work in September.
His work permit was issued as part of an application for a green card which he initiated in April 2025. He has a final interview remaining.

Revealed: The landlord MPs raking in £830k a year in rent

The register of interests reveals that 83 MPs are also landlords, declaring at least £10,000 in rental income in the past year, while the Labour government pushes through its Renters’ Rights Bill

89 CommentsAn excerpt from the linked article:

Jae Vail, spokesperson for the London Renters Union, said: "The sheer number of landlords in parliament is shocking.
“During an unprecedented housing crisis, it’s a blatant conflict of interest that MPs are making millions from struggling renters – while some even use taxpayer money to cover their own personal rents. Tenants need a government that works for us, not one that profits from our hardship. Until parliament is free of landlord MPs, renters will not trust the government to deliver the bold action we need. It’s time for the government to ban landlords from parliament and start working for ordinary people, investing in council housing and capping rents."

Tom Darling, director at the Renters' Reform Coalition, said “it probably doesn't reflect well on parliament” that so many MPs are landlords.
“In the longer term, renters risk losing confidence in a political system where those that extract rent from them are hugely overrepresented – and it certainly didn't help the last (Tory) government's efforts to pass the Renters’ [Reform] Bill," he said.

A Labour spokesperson said: "There are rightly strict parliamentary rules that MPs must adhere to when renting property.
“Our Labour government is delivering landmark legislation transforming rights and security for renters across the country. Tory MPs opposed it every step of the way, Labour will deliver it."

Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett

I am relieved that a federal judge has ordered the immediate release of five year old Liam Conejos Ramos and his father. The court's ruling makes clear what never should have been in question: this child's detention was unlawful, unjustified, and deeply harmful.

The judge delivered a pointed reminder that, in his opinion,
the Constitution is not optional. He rejected the use of
administrative warrants, condemned the government's
disregard for basic constitutional principles, and made clear that traumatizing a child has no place in a nation that claims to be governed by the rule of law.

What I witnessed at the Dilley Detention Center was deeply alarming. A preschooler who was lethargic, not eating, and asking only for his mother and his school does not happen by accident - it is a direct consequence of this administration's actions. Unfortunately, Liam is not the
only child subjected to this treatment.

Let me be clear: this ruling does not erase the trauma
inflicted on Liam or his family. Accountability must follow. I will continue to conduct oversight to ensure the
Constitution is upheld.

He had been under investigation since January 2020 for events occurring between 2002 and 2009, when he was a whip and shadow minister. He repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

In February 2024, the Metropolitan Police concluded that the evidence held did not meet the threshold for prosecution and that no further action would be taken. 'Thao, who has been a U.S. citizen for decades, said that as he was being detained he
asked his daughter-in-law to find his identification, but the agents told him they didn't
want to see it.

Instead, as his 4-year-old grandson watched and cried, Thao was led out in handcuffs
wearing only sandals and underwear, with just a blanket wrapped around his shoulders.

Videos captured the scene, which included people blowing whistles and horns and
neighbors screaming at the more than a dozen gun-toting agents to leave Thao's family
alone.

Thao said agents drove him, "to the middle of nowhere," and made him get out of the
car in the frigid weather so they could photograph him. He said he feared they would beat him. He was asked for his ID, which agents earlier prevented him from retrieving.

Agents eventually realized that he was a U.S. citizen with no criminal record, Thao said, and an hour or two later, they brought him back to his house. There they made him show his ID and then left without apologizing for detaining him or breaking his door, Thao said.'

Despite Sudan being described by the UN as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, the response remains drastically underfunded. As of late 2025, the UN’s Sudan appeal was just 27 percent funded, largely affected by US funding cuts under the Trump administration.

Brown, however, insisted Sudan remains a top UN priority, pointing to repeated high-level visits by senior officials since she took up her post in September.Still, she said she struggled to convey the scale of suffering.

“Horrendous, shocking, appalling are the words that come to mind,” she said. “It’s really difficult to convey the pain, the trauma, the fear, the suffering caused by this war.”

There is also David Goodhart, the Policy Exchange think tank’s integration chief, who has spent the past decade defending what he calls “majority grievances”, appointed by Liz Truss as a Commissioner at the Equality and Human Rights Commission.Other advisors include Matthew Goodwin, whose academic work has been accused of detoxifying the far-right; David Green of the think tank Civitas, who has spent his entire career claiming that institutional racism doesn’t exist (for instance in policing or the ethnic pay gap); Eric Kaufmann, a political scientist who supports “white racial self-interest” and denies structural racism; Lord Matt Ridley, the climate-denying Conservative coal baron who is keen to convince people that believing in a “biological basis for race” does not make you “racist”; author Lionel Shriver who complained about Penguin Random House’s proposed diversity programme; and historian David Starkey who declared that slavery could not be construed as genocidal because “so many damn blacks” had survived.

Well said, Officers. We need voices like yours to speak out about our government's continuing support for Israel, while they continue their slaughter of Palestinians.
Excerpts ftom the article:

'They said that British military practices had clear differences with Israeli ones, for example the IDF used indiscriminate munitions that had led to “exceptionally disproportionate and avoidable civilian fatalities and widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure”.''The former officers said the evidence of war crimes was “so well documented and compelling that the British government should cut all military collaboration with Israel forthwith, to avoid the charge of complicity”.'

You're right. magazine.unison.org.uk/2024/06/28/1...
In September 2010, the police workforce in England and Wales had 243,143 officers and staff. After four years of austerity, in September 2016, this number had shrunk by nearly 45,000. Over the same period, police community officer (PCSO) numbers were cut from 16,376 to 10,551 – a decline of 36%. The government claimed that there was no link between cutting police numbers and rising crime, but they were wrong.

Make harmful conversion practices illegal! www.stonewall.org.uk/news/pm-urge...
Excerpt from the link:

'The festive period is a time for celebration, community, and acceptance. Yet for many members of the LGBTQ+ community, this time of year, as families come together and religious services take place, can be a painful reminder that they are still not fully accepted.

Across the UK, too many in the LGBTQ+ community are still being told they need to be ‘cured’ or ‘fixed’ because harmful conversion practices remain legal.'

the CPS shared contact details of prosecutors and counter-terror police last year with the Israeli embassy during its decision whether to prosecute ten of the ‘Filton 18’ activists who mounted the protest at the Elbit weapons factory in Filton, Bristol.Excerpt from same article:

The email sent by Nicola Smith, head of international law and national security at the AGO, was sent eleven days after she and AGO director general Douglas Wilson met with Grudsky Ekstein, after the AGO had previously declined meetings in 2023 with Israeli embassy officials ‘to preserve operational independence’.

Despite that mealy mouthed statement, starving prisoner Qesser Zuhrah *begged all night* to be taken to hospital! Appalling treatment-their mail is opened, calls & visits withheld. Locked up ~18mth before trial, 'though *not charged with terrorism*! Dying but ignored by Lammy! Dereliction of duty!
Prison Service statement:

"We continually assess prisoners’ wellbeing and will always take the appropriate action, including taking prisoners to hospital if they are assessed as needing treatment by a medical professional.

“His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service has assured ministers that all cases of prisoner food refusal are being managed in accordance with the relevant policy and with appropriate medical assessment and support, consistent with prisoner rights.”Palestine Action-affiliated hunger strikers are likely to die without David Lammy's intervention, lawyers representing the prisoners have said as they criticised the Justice Secretary for refusing to meet them.
Solicitors wrote to Lammy last Wednesday to request an urgent meeting before their clients` health deteriorates "beyond any possible recovery".
But a subsequent letter sent on Tuesday said that his reply, received on Monday,
"does not directly address our request".

Two of those refusing food are on day 45 of their protest - one day less than Martin Hurson did before becoming the sixth of 10 IRA hunger strikers to die in 1982 - and another is on day 44.

The latest letter says that Qesser Zuhrah, who has been refusing food since 2 November, experienced her legs shaking uncontrollably a few nights ago, collapsed onto the floor for hours and went in and out of consciousness.
Zuhrah, who is being held at HMP Bronzefield in Surrey awaiting trial, was sick in an ambulance which was called only after an entire night of her
begging to be taken to the hospital."Given the context of our clients' rapidly deteriorating health and the increasing likelihood that they might die as a result of this strike, this is
highly concerning,' the letter from Imran Khan & Partners, seen by the Guardian, says. "Their commitment to this cause of action means that their death is increasingly more than a mere possibility. It is a likelihood, particularly if the situation remains unresolved.

The demands of the prisoners - who will have have been in prison for more than a year before they are tried - include immediate bail, ending the ban on Palestine Action and stopping restrictions on their communications.

They allege mail, calls and visits have been restricted on spurious grounds or without explanation legal mail has been opened unlawfully, access to books has been blocked, inmates have been taken off or banned from prison jobs for "security reasons" and non-association orders have been implemented
between their clients. A lack of or late medical observations or treatment since the hunger strike began is also alleged in some cases.

Bigots spreading disinformation, inventing a white man as the hero of the hour instead of the brown man truly deserving of gratitude and honour, Ahmed al Ahmed -no surprise, but plenty of disgust. leadstories.com/hoax-alert/2...
According to whois.com domain name registration data, the domain name for the website thedailyaus.world was anonymously registered only on December 14, 2025, the same day as the attack. The first page archived by the Internet Archive for that website

Another sign the site is bogus is the fact that every time the page is reloaded the thumbnail images for the stories in the sidebar randomly change (and the images don't even appear to be related to the headlines):The same name was reported by Time, The New York Post, Fox News and The Jerusalem Post, among others.

A search for the name "Edward Crabtree" in combination with "Bondi" on Google News only brought up fact checks, stories mentioning Ahmed al Ahmed and one story from The Verge saying Grok, the AI bot on X, was falsely naming "Edward Crabtree" as the person in the viral video of the disarming.

Israel is blocking shelter materials from entering Gaza, causing even more deaths. truthout.org/articles/isr...
Excerpt from the article quoting the Norwegian Refugee Council:

“Due to severe restrictions, UN and international aid organisations have only been able to bring in 15,600 tents for 88,000 people, while 1.29 million still need shelter to survive the winter,” the group said. Israel has rejected nearly 4,000 pallets of shelter materials from entering, NRC said.

“Within this last year, especially since the new US presidency, we have seen a definite increase in accounts being taken down – not only in the US, but also worldwide as a ripple effect,” said Martha Dimitratou, executive director of Repro Uncensored.

For some reason, this reminds me of the racist riots in the UK, Summer 2024. Out of those charged, more than 40% had previously been reported for domestic abuse. (Who knows how many had not had their crimes reported.) www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/uk-riot...
In total, 899 people were arrested for disorder across 27 towns and cities last summer. Acts of vandalism and the destruction of public property were reported nationwide. Meanwhile, some rioters attempted to burn down a hotel housing asylum seekers in Rotherham.

From that entire cohort, 41% of all suspects detained during the civil unrest have all been reported to the authorities for domestic abuse, with charges ranging from stalking to actual bodily harm.
