I acknowledge that I'm moving the goalposts here, but the high today is finally < 85°F and I just had my first pumpkin spice latte. It is officially fall.

I used to marvel at how people know so many part numbers. Over time I realized it's because they've had to troubleshoot those damn components so many times the part name is embedded into their nightmares

[Ph+] I really need some non-mirrored goggles for pre-dawn swims The pool is finally not 100°! I can actually start swimming faster and getting my heart rate up! This whole summer the pool was miserably warm. Just getting in and warming up put me at my heat […] [Original post on meow.social]

Thrilled. Ecstatic. Feeling high. I've been trying to find this album for years - maybe even a decade! I listened to it countless times as a kiddo. I've looked up "green... compilation... house ... 90s" every few months to no avail. But today I remembered the […] [Original post on meow.social]

I'm in the back row and overheard the flight attendants the whole trip. Discussing best/worst places to work: "Oh I hate Washington. All you get is weird little furries or ... " and I didn't catch the other Washington stereotype cuz I chuckled

Lincoln, Nebraska airport - where you can always get free coffee. It's hidden behind a vending machine under the escalators, but the offer is still upheld!

Trivial adventure travel thread Flying to Nebraska. A group de-boarding the plane: "I gotta go to the restroom" "Nah wait, we're going to Wendy's" "Yeah we're going straight to Wendy's. Hold it" Is Wendy's a person they're visiting in Houston or just /a/ Wendy's?

Someone sang the national anthem over the intercom at the airport this morning. At first I thought everyone was an awakening sleeper cell. Then I remembered it's 9/11. Maybe it is the best day for hundreds to stop dead in their tracks at a bustling airport and take a moment of silence.

making a hobby expense spreadsheet. For things I have to pay for: - swimming is by far the cheapest, and I don't even go to all the practices - gymnastics is the most expensive per hour. And for good reason since u need a coach, smallish class sizes, and tons of specialized equipment

"Why do so many deep fry their screenshots before posting them?" That's just Windows being really sucky at HDR. But it is very funny to think that everybody is deep-frying their screenshots before posting them to teams.
