This print is a tribute to the resilience of Indigenous culture, a critique of imposed narratives, and a visual prayer acknowledging the Earth as our original, rising Mother—powerful, protective, and eternal. #Woodcut #ReliefPrint #Printmaking #gravura #inkonpaper #Tonantzin #VirgenDeGuadalupe

Through self-taught exploration of #printmaking, I've discovered not only my own creative voice but also meaningful connections with others, finding community and #growth in the intersections of art and shared passion. My first attempt at #reliefprint ever, enjoy!

Thank you very much!! It’s hard to tell but it’s much easier to carve details when the block is 2ft x4ft

For the #printpromptmonday theme #favouritepiece, I chose this one of my mom's journey with lung cancer and dementia. Darkness overtakes light, symbolizing the condition's overwhelming impact, yet honoring her strength and resilience. #love #woodcut #inkonpaper #printmaking #grabado #gravura #Art

A #friend 's companionship is a sacred braid, woven from the threads of sisterhood and ancient wisdom, much like the Three Sisters - #corn, #beans, and #squash - whose intertwined lives speak a language of belonging, deep and unspoken. #printpromptmonday #printmaking #grabado #gravura #artshare #art

Thanks so much for your comment! I really appreciate you taking the time to look closely at the linework of this print. I love experimenting with light to hint at things that might be there, but I believe it's all about how each viewer interprets it. It's exciting to leave that open for everyone
