Trilogy of Terror (1975) ends with the Zuni warrior doll burning in an oven, and then possesses a woman who stares into the camera. Possible?

I'd argue it's pretty textually gay! This moment at the end of Chapter 2 has a very big dot dot dot between "'I'll be glad to.'" and "...I was standing beside his bed..." implies that Nick and Mr. McKee kept the night going.

I'm not gonna say anything about attractiveness; less than "ugly" I think character actor is being a "weird little dude." I think the best character actress equivalent is Lin Shaye. A third of her career is New Line cameos, a third is Farrelly Bros. comedies, then she finally got big with Insidious.

Cap's post-thaw best friend has been Sam Wilson since 1969. So in comic time, like barely a year or two since waking up in the "modern day. (Steve is wearing a disguise in the below image from Captain America #117)

McFarlane named Wanda and Cyan after his own wife and daughter. Which is fine. Until you get to issue 10 (written by Dave Sim, but illustrated by McFarlane). Subtext is made text as Spawn/McFarlane gets to the real world and finds his white daughter, seemingly implying he's white under the mask.

I feel like the only character we've followed every step of the way from student to graduation to teacher (Kitty Pryde, by contrast, is in college and then suddenly a teacher) is Quentin Quire.

There's an issue of Astonishing X-Men that is almost entirely Blink fighting Holocaust and it is incredible. Madureira just burning up every page.

Unfortunately, these kinds of invasions of privacy have been presented neutrally by Marvel since 2012.

I don't know, he had a real chip on his shoulder for a while. He'd tend to lash out at people (women!), regret it and apologize later.

A silly event with an even sillier ending, but I've always loved this moment. Onslaught is built up to be the biggest threat ever, but the Hulk just does not give a fuck.

Batman & Robin (2009) #1 seemed to be inspired by Detective Comics #38, and then Ice Cream Man #33 is a direct homage to Batman & Robin #1.

David Mamet made a small change with big implications from his 1995 draft of THE BOOKWORM to the final film THE EDGE. Read my blawg to see what that change says about Mamet's eventual shift in (horrible horrible) political beliefs. bartcave.wordpress.com/2026/04/09/s...

In the opening of the Star Trek: The Motion Picture novelization, written by Gene Roddenberry, there's a foreword "written" by Kirk that mentions the events of TOS were exaggerated by fictional accounts:

Something a lot of people miss in the movie is the war starts because Mormons invade arachnid territory. From that point on, everything the humans do is aggressive no matter how "subtly" (not subtle at all) Verhoeven frames their actions because the arachnids are just defending themselves!

In the last two seasons, as the line between good guys and bad guys blurs, the character of Clem represents the show's evolving stance on demons. He's kind, helpful and even gets a happy ending.
