Hello again! Yes, it’s a new account. I realised that I’m just not made for social media. The old account had far too many followers and was way too visible, so I got rid of it. I’m not planning to use this new one much, but it’s a way for the journal at least to be visible without me having to be.

Volume 12 of Barthes Studies will be published on 12 November 2026 and will be a special issue on Le Plaisir du texte/The Pleasure of the Text, guest-edited by Bryan Counter. In 2027 there’ll be another guest-edited special issue (‘Global Barthes’). We’re open to submissions for 2028 and beyond.
