Update: two people were taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. That is the extent of the injuries, thankfully. This was not in any sense a military target. Just a neighborhood collection of stores. The only purpose of this attack was to try to intimidate the local population. Despicable.

This is as good a time as any to remind people that Ukraine's airports have all been closed since Russia invaded in 2022. I have no sympathy for Russian airline passengers. In fact, I see their problems as a plus.
