My favorite part of this movie is just how much dialogue was actually taken from real correspondence they had. Compare these lyrics with this line from a letter Adams sent to his wife on 2 July, 1776-

On the day I turned 32 (yesterday) I looked up what Pokemon has national dex number 32: Nidoran (M). Then I went to the convention I grew up always wanting to go to (I walked there because I live here now) and found games with my name in them. I opened up a pack of cards and found a $50 Nidoking.

To me mech anime is best when it’s the purest visual representation of collective action. The giant robot can only exist and perform these feats because it was designed, built, and operated by MANY people.

Anyway I agree about Fields of Mistria - characters do go to places and then perform believable tasks at those places. March really hammers away at the anvil. Hayden builds a sandcastle at the beach. Everyone gathers on friday nights. Used to be you'd have to imagine that activity.

Game designers are communicators. The games that we make communicate ideas and feelings to our audience of players. Games are highly conceptual, built of logic, num-ber, space, and language. These are conveyed in image, sound, touch, and the other modalities of our senses. Games convey meaning in many complex and sophisticated ways, and this is part of what makes game design such a fascinating artistic practice.
Of course, as well as communicating with our players, the people who make games have to communicate with each other. And if the process of communicating with our players is complex and sophisticated, it stands to reason that the way developers communicate with each other will be too, creating both problems and opportunities.
