I typically have a full moon fire every month, but this month is kinda special. Thursday August 27 will be a partial lunar eclipse just after midnight as Friday begins. I plan to have a fire out at the lake on my favorite beach that night, and another at home Friday night. All are welcome.

I was trying to explain yesterday how being barefoot and naked in the natural world is my spiritual practice. Barefoot alwaysto connect directly with my immediate environment, and naked so there are no barriers between me and my environment. This is as close as I get to a religion, just being me.

Looking to go walkabout again this month. I've packed my camping gear and my oldest digital piano in my van. I'm heading west towards Charlotte and the south mountains of North Carolina next week. I'll be looking for scenic places to park a minivan and get nekkid. Any suggestions?

On my favorite beach with no barriers between me and my natural environment. That log was a good place to dry off after a swim. There was a nice breeze in the shade right there. I felt appropriately attired for such a hot day, 100° f with a heat index of OMG.

This thing is just floating at the water's edge near my favorite beach. Nobody is anywhere near here. It probably fell off a boat. Maybe I can ride this bull to the island and back.

I have the house to myself tonight through Sunday. I'm not used to being alone and would enjoy visitors. Bring friends and guitars. I have an indoor piano and an outdoor piano ready to go. While the wife is away the piano I shall play. I might vacuum too.

I walked out to the shed to check on everything out there. It's cold but walking in the frozen grass felt really cool. I was glad to get back inside though, it's warmer in here and dinner is cooking.

A nice walk at the lake today. The recent drought has caused the water level to go way down, about 2 inches a day for months. This leaves a nice wide sandy beach. Last week was extremely cold and froze the surface of the water at the shore. In the shade the ice remains as the water recedes.

Doing yardwork today barefoot and nekkid, feeling extremely primal especially when chopping roots with an axe. Now the path is wider and there's no longer any vertical obstruction. The whole area feels much bigger and there's more sunlight on the native azaleas.

Our little travel trailer makes a fine office for me to work in free from all the distractions in the house. The tiny kitchen makes a fine stand up desk. I love that I have a job I can work naked! It's nice to have no dress code and no commute.

Current working conditions. I've been using our travel trailer as my office recently, and it works very well. I can isolate from all the distractions at home while parked out front. I enjoy a job with no dress code and apparently I do it well.

I had a doctor's appointment. Maps said I could walk there in 11 minutes. Instead I ran there in 7 minutes flat. I paused 3 minutes while Jennifer stabbed my finger and gave me this bitchin' dinosaur band-aid. Total stats .78 mile in 13.8 minutes. Not bad for a barefoot 68 years old fat guy!
